Support of Popp Smoke Detector and Siren

I like the latest Fibaro smoke detector for its design and features.  But I dislike that it relies on the HC2 to start any other than the local siren of the triggered smoke detector. In addition (or as a consequence

There are some related posts in this forum. It seems also that the siren of the Fibaro smoke detector is not accessible from the HC2.

Popp lately released a z-wave based smoke detector (

) which looks comparatively ugly. But in contrast to Fibaro,  an alarm in one smoke detector triggers the sirens of all other smoke detectors without involvement of a central controller. Like for normal radio smoke detectors. This is described as wireless alarm meshing in the manual linked above. I personally believe (without any proof) that this is implemented based on zensor nodes, as those provide the needed meshing without a central controller in a z-wave network. As a nice additional function the siren is externally accessible as a binary switch (with a different sound), for example for flood or burglar alarms.

Has somebody successfully used the Popp 004001 with a HC2 (or HCL)? Is the smoke alarm visible in the HC2, so that push messages can be sent? Can the smoke detector siren be operated from the HC2? Several z-wave compatibility web pages claim that the alarm works, but the siren not (why?). In the

that the Popp doesn't work at all with the HC2.

Does somebody have more information how Popp implements wireless alarm meshing?
