  1. Still as happy as a pig in *abuse*! Scrapping fibaro motions sensors now aswell as found a great alternative with 7 year battery life and no random 'cannot see controller so i will suck your batteries dry' scenarios! I see you guys finally got android widgets for devices! Nice touch indeed!
  2. and still not looking back! just courteously answering any private messages i had!
  3. Well that is me done with Fibaro... been testing an alternative solution for a few months now which for obvious reasons I will not promote. But safe to say it absolutely smashes my HC2 x2 and HCL x 3 out of the park! Thanks for the ride everyone and I wish you all the best... right now I am having lots of fun with immense amounts of flexibility and approximately the same stability as the current line of Fibaro units. I will be keeping one controller as they are not selling for a lot just to have a nose at periodically to see if and when the device matches the marketing hype. Thanks again!
  4. Had a search through a few vd but stuck on this god awful chromebook! making general tasks a nightmare! can anybody forward a bit of lua to generate a global variable if it does not already exists called for example 'Tracker_Latitude' Both a value and a predefined would be great please... example Tracker_Latitude = 3.566765 Tracker_Acc = ON or OFF Thank you very much!
  5. Google Home support would be nice! Alexa left the building after we spent an hour shouting the same phrase at it via 4 members of the family... almost left via a window! But we decided to donate it to somebody we do not like!
  6. If we all wait 2-3 weeks then we are no further forward
  7. the hack will work but please do not try and update while that is active... you will lose access to your box! i would probably advise against this but its up to you
  8. fixed it! its a sony issue and needed the commands repeated now it works perfectly!
  9. i could but it would meaning splitting toslink or relying upon kodi for drm content... at the moment kodi is my main central controller for ALL tv content! and all my cable management is in the wall (bit of a dodge if i can scenario) i shall investigate more into this picture off... might even invest in a cheap harmony remote to see if i can mimic the ir code that way
  10. yup out of ideas here aswell very strange! all the other codes work and the module/connector/repeat is matching... i did play with repeat as the sony codes seem a lot shorter! i do use lua and not string for flexibility aswell! if only they included that picture off button on the remote! i can macro it and flick between options on tv to have the same result, but a one button press if always better! thanks anyway for trying... that says to me that the codes ahev changed in some way
  11. because i have a crappy sonos playbar with only toslink and no hdmi i require the use of spdif from tv! so if i change the channel i change the audio! which means picture and no audio! i have had it working with http before but would love to find a working IR command for this! i found sendir,1:1,1,40000,1,1,96,24,24,24,48,24,48,24,48,24,48,24,48,24,24,24,48,24,24,24,24,24,24,24,24,980 which says it would turn off the picture on a sony TV but it fails to work... then press again and picture would come back! the plan was if W > 10 (projector on and screen = set position then) picture off else reverse this process if you have a sony tv and can hook up a spare button for testing could you try that command to see if it blanks your display please
  12. i can find the http command for making the tv screen BLACK basically no picture! so when i roll down projector screen in front of it i am saving energy etc... also no backlight behind screen with screen flicker. But with IR i am struggling to get it working as 'Blank' or 'No Picture' is not a key on the remote that i can learn.
  13. i would do the same but cannot crack picture off!
  14. If mine developed an issue it would be back at Vesternet as i would be covered under the consumer law in the EU as it would be classed as 'not fit for purpose' basically reduces system functionality and both the manufacturer and distributor are aware of the situation. Forcing any additional cost to yourself as an end user is illegal from the manufacturer! They have to provide a product that should not fail for the same reason on many devices consistently within 6 years! Hopefully will not happen to me but you have legal rights! Ask Apple they love the EU consumer law! (and they abide by it)
  15. Sonos vd and RSS works great just hate the delays! The way fibaro vd is implemented seems to be the heart of the problem.
