  1. Thanks, I'm sure we all look forward to it ! Cheers, al.
  2. @A.Socha Love my HC3, it's a good unit. It would be nice for us your loyal users, to be able to vote on what we want/need, and then the priorities would be aligned with the users ? Similar to a long time ago in the old forum for HC2, I ran a QA and Wish poll unofficially, but know that it got some traction. This would give everyone a clear indication of the focus within obvious caveats .. and allow you to define rough timelines for each of the priorities. There is no point in you tipping resources into an area that few people really need, before something that everyone wants Just a thought. Cheers, al.
  3. @A.Socha Thanks for the assist. I think it would be good to note it seems the HC3 only talks with Google after HC2 is deactivated as you can't unlink from in HC2 can you ? That was the only other change, decommissioning HC2. Thanks again, cheers, al.
  4. Hmm, for me it was integrations and making sure it was selected .. I assume .. I did also decommission my HC2 so maybe ? that is literally the only other thing I did yesterday .. I'll try tonight when I get home ( 8 hrs from now ) to unlink and re-link step by step and see if I did anything else. Mine also threw the same something went wrong wrong a couple of times before I logged into the id.fibaro and did the integrations. I guess the take away from this at this stage is that it works on HC3, just need to work out why it's not .. which is better than wondering if it is an issue and wondering if it is worth investing time to solve ! I don't know where Elfy David and Eric hail from but Flipsy and yourself are in Hungary so maybe there is something there that needs to be fixed .. ? @A.Socha Hi, long time no chat, and I don't know if you are still active in the forums, but, is there anything Google wise that needs to be fixed in Hungary ? or should it be all good ? Cheers, al.
  5. @Elfy, @DavidFormoso, @EricTenHarkel, @Szabolcs Iklodi, @Flipsy Yep, You can try selecting integrations on the HC3 cloud login page. It works, and is as far as I can tell with limited testing so far, working fine. I'll be back home in a little while to go through further. On the id.cloud.fibaro.com page find this .. and select integrations active .. I think this is the key step ; Then from memory as I wasn't expecting it to work .. Go into your google home app Tap account Then assistant settings Then assistant and Then home control select add then search for fibaro select and add it It populates and away it goes. Good luck, Cheers, al.
  6. Bit old sorry, but, I assumed it was a newer Z+ talking to old chipset. I only noticed it in relation to newer items, assumed they were trying to be more clever than HC2 .. but all totally anecdotal. Cheers, al.
  7. Morning, I've just picked up my HC3 as an old HC2 user here in Au. It's got some way to go, but if you are going to be sticking with Fibaro, and the controller you are looking at upgrading isn't mission critical, then I would suggest getting one whenever you can afford it, Oh and make sure you will have some time to get to know it. I have replaced the HC2 in my home as it was getting unpredictable, it's local, and it isn't mission critical to me. The old unit was unreliable enough that even if it isn't fully functional it will be less stress. My Home HC2 was very old though. The one at the farm I will wait until things are improved, and more is implemented and stable before upgrading as it controls some high end kit, I'm very comfortable with it, I have some complex scenes that I will need to rewrite, and I use it remote. The hardest part for me is recreating my old, and developing new scenes, block and LUA have both changed, and learning how not to do what you are used to, in conjunction with not knowing if something is fully implemented yet, is super painful at times. Downsides for me ; Having no Google integration is painful, I became very used to asking little miss to turn my lights on and off or run a scene. It's not working and is supposed to be.Got it working It is still riddled with annoying things. A lot of the functionality isn't all there yet. It is basically the old roller coaster that some of us are used to, the dizzying highs and the terrifying lows, of expectation v reality. Upsides; Transfer of most devices was pretty painless for me. I had to tweak a few and remove/add a couple of weird bits I have. Each new release and update is exciting again. ( what will be fixed what will be broken ) Speed & range are vastly improved. The HC3 is, comparative to my old unit, super responsive and the additional range of the upgraded chipset is welcomed. The new interface is .. painful, but only took a short while for me to get comfortable with and I think of that as an improvement now. The future of the unit is pretty solid, once we all start to get onboard with it and start pushing it, it will be a killer unit. As with the old one, Fibaro aren't going to win a lot of fanboi's until the community starts to make it into something special. That's my 2¢ Cheers, al.
  8. Well I'm back, been crook, been better, and now apparently as good as I'll get, so here I am .. HC3 coming very soon ! w00t !

  9. Hi, funny you should mention it, I just last week ordered a new board. Expect it in a couple of weeks, and will be giving it another crack ! I'll let you know how I go. the support here for the integra is almost non existant though, and the dude who has some association here in Au doesn't respond, so I'm talking to a mob in Eu and freighting it over. The DSC might be a better option here in Au based on my experience from a support point of view. Cheers, al.
  10. Exactly as Jamie says, a physical failure is a physical failure. I've got one at the moment that turns on for 10 seconds and turns off, I really need to get up in the roof and find it and change it out ! Cheers al.
  11. Hi @Chrisjcbt, I've got a partial integration with a Satel, but I have broken board to replace before i recommend anything. Satel and Fibaro are good mates by all accounts, and the integration is supposed to be pretty tight. Also the Satel product range is large, so most anything you want to get for it you can and worth exploring. Cheers, al.

    Alarm

Hi @Sjd101 .. what brand of door window sensors ? The Fibaro ones I have and the older Aeotec ones I have don't make any sound ? Curiouser and Curiouser ! Cheers, al.
  13. hi @krakow, no I havent even gotten the alram working by itself, let alone integrated with fibaro ! I've had a couple of other projects to finish up, then I thought I'd bite the bullet and get a new board, as I think the one supplied is no good .. Cheers, al.
  14. So an update following .. erm .. the latest beta update :) Fibaro have in my opinion nailed the backups issue that has been worriesome for a long time. It's an elegant and effective implementation ( that still needs a few tweaks ) and shows a commitment behind the scenes. I also think the amount of moderation and the volume of response on the forum has been significantly improved of late, and I think they all deserve a round of applause for their work on the 4.503B Thanks Fibaro, you are making it easier and easier to support a product we love.
  15. 100% agreed, it's a blessing and a curse, could not agree more. All open infrastructure is inherently unstable, the fact that they mitigate it as much as they have is very good ! Also 100% If you want simple there are other cheaper simpler probably closed systems that are more stable and will do lighting. If you want something cleverer than that, then I think personally Fibaro is as good as it gets, for the market it is aimed at, but that's not a reason for them to be complacent. We need plugins, we need, geo location that is sensible we need some self healing in the code, we need .. and so on and so on .. for it to be a truly clever home controller. Mmm, yeah, agree, but I think the class is important, as it is retrofit, it is all wireless, it is relatively cheap, it is BYO & DIY, and it is relatively powerful. The handful of people I know who have used homeseer, don't any more. ( inc. me ! ) Funny that you mention Demopad, as I'm currently exploring it ! Cheers, al.
  16. Just to throw my 2c in .. I feel like a large part of Fibaro's success was based on timing .. they were early to market with a brilliant product comparative to others. I think now however, we as users, expect a better experience, with home integration becoming easily accessible, home automation becoming very accepted and with competition building in the sector, Fibaro really hasn't changed much, and hasn't completely delivered on the expectations they instilled. I mean these days, and it is only recent, it costs next to nothing to get some wifi lighting and have google home control it by voice ( something that I can't reliably do with my literally thousands and thousands of dollars of installed hardware .. ) In my opinion, they need to rethink a lot of what they take for granted, and really have a good close look at how others are progressing, with reliability, integration and the GUI / user experience being the largest of these things to my mind. I am continuously evaluating alternatives, and haven't found one that is better at what it does, enough to make me change, but some are getting closer. Most of those however, have worse or non existant support, and are basically kickstarters that may or may not develop further into viable contenders, indeed a couple haven't even responded to a sales enquiry. Personally I don't think it is too much to ask of a HA system in 2018 to self repair to some extent, work flawlessly without an internet connection, have a dedicated app that doesn't drain a phone battery, utilises geo positioning well, allows localised full system backups on your media of choice, is fully configurable within the app ( for example ; I'd like my elderly mother inlaw to have lights and shutters and whatever scene only on the opening screen, not have to navigate ), is integrated with google home or alexa or siri or whatever else you throw at it, and above all else is reliable. Don't get me wrong, the HC2 does everything, ( kind of ) and I love mine ( most of the time ), mine are generally reliable, I am comfortable with them, and most things can be worked around or scripted around to achieve whatever I want, and although it's inconsequential, it is a bit dated and stale. I hope I'll be in the queue to purchase and early adopt a few HC3's for my installations, and know that Fibaro have the best of intentions, but intentions don't make success anymore, there are too many others circling, and disgruntled users for whatever reason aren't a good look. IMO Fibaro should start listening to users via an extensive poll / survey to determine what the issues are that users have, then act systematically to either fix, incorporate or explain solutions. ( OLA! Organise a way to Listen to feedback and Act on it ! ) Jump onto providing regular updates, improvements and stability. Continue to release software update beta's to users who are happy trashing a system if it goes bad, but listen to their feedback and jump on hot fixing anything that causes grief. The peeps on this forum from newest user through to oldest salt, and the current team of excellent responsive admins, collectively have all the answers to building Fibaro into a stunning system, but it seems like there is something at the core of Fibaro which stops that from happening everytime there is some renewed momentum. I don't know what / who or why that is. TL;DR - Fibaro still is my system of choice, but there is a lot of competition circling and they need to up their game ! Cheers, al.
  17. Hi Frans, welcome to the forum, Assuming you are utilising Fibaro Switches, the following may be useful, and is hard instead of soft controlled which for me is a better option when it comes to disaster ! ; 40. Reaction to General Alarm This parameter determines how the device will react to General Alarm frame. Available settings: 0 – alarm frame is ignored 1 – turn ON after receiving the alarm frame 2 – turn OFF after receiving the alarm frame 3 – flash after receiving the alarm frame Default setting: 3 Parameter size: 1 [byte] 44. Flashing alarm duration This parameter allows to set duration of flashing alarm mode. Available settings: 1-32000 (1-32000s, 1s step) – duration Default setting: 600 (10min) Parameter size: 2 [bytes] Taken from https://manuals.fibaro.com/switch-2/ or Check out an old thread .. Cheers, al.
  18. @A.Smolinski No problems, I think it is bandwidth related, I'm awaiting an ISP upgrade and then I'll start playing with the cameras again. Cheers, al.
  19. Hi @A.Smolinski to be honest I've given up on trying to come up with a workable and reliable notification within the app, and now use Telegram for the notifications. It is more suited to monitoring in that I still get a notification when the app is left open, has more fuctionality in the way it alerts me and has been very reliable. This is one of the disabled scenes I was using, I'd probably be more excited if we could get userCodes for door lock access .. --[[ %% properties 578 value %% globals --]] local startSource = fibaro:getSourceTrigger(); local lock = tonumber(fibaro:getValue(578, "value")); local user = fibaro:getValue(578, "userDescription"); local code = fibaro:getValue(578, "userCodes"); if (fibaro:countScenes()>1) then fibaro:debug('Kill extra scenes!'); fibaro:abort(); end if lock == 1 then local popTitle = "Door Locked" local popContTitle = "Front Door has been Locked!" local popBody = "The front door has been Locked".. "Nothing to see here" local popImage = "http://<HC_IP>/fibaro/icons/scena/User1051.png" local popType = "Success" ------------------------------------------- HomeCenter.PopupService.publish({ title = popTitle, subtitle = os.date("%H:%M:%S | %d.%m.%Y."), contentTitle = popContTitle, contentBody = popBody, img = popImage, type = popType, buttons = { { caption = "Camera View", sceneId = 391 }, { caption = "Cancel", sceneId = 0 } } }) fibaro:call(539, "sendDefinedPushNotification", "550"); fibaro:debug('Locked .. lock value :' .. lock .. ' user : ' .. user .. ''); else local popTitle = "Door Unlocked" local popContTitle = "Front Door has been Unlocked!" local popBody = "The front door has been unlocked".. "Do you want to check the cameras" .. "Motion in front hall detected" local popImage = "http://<HC_IP>/fibaro/icons/scena/User1051.png" local popType = "Warning" ------------------------------------------- HomeCenter.PopupService.publish({ title = popTitle, subtitle = os.date("%H:%M:%S | %d.%m.%Y."), contentTitle = popContTitle, contentBody = popBody, img = popImage, type = popType, buttons = { { caption = "Camera View", sceneId = 391 }, { caption = "Cancel", sceneId = 0 } } }) fibaro:call(539, "sendDefinedPushNotification", "551"); fibaro:debug('Unlocked .. lock value :' .. lock .. ' user : ' .. user .. ''); end Cheers, al.
  20. Hi @hansaroen, I'm not going to be useful I'm afraid. Is there nothing nearer the motor with additional wire ? or plug that can be tapped into that goes to a wireless controller ? or is it all built into the motor ? I think there are 2 versions a built in reciever, and an external reciever .. if it's built in it's beyond me. Is yours a newer version cl900 or 920 ? ( might have just made that model up, I can't find the bookmark for the one I was looking at ), irrespective, mine are all older, and I have been thinking about replacing one of them, and saw the new wireless one, which .. I assumed without looking into the specs at this early stage, would be able to be switched as well ..! I have a mate with a wireless one and when we installed that it had a seperate RF control unit which fed the up down wires so you could control more than one window at a time, that may be an option to buying a new motor ? You may find a breakout ( breakin ! ) box that is suitable somfy do a lot of variations on their product. Mine are wired almost exactly ; Good luck ! Cheers, al.
  21. Agreed, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find affordable solutions in AC, Somfy do them, but the price is inflated in my opinion on the name, a lot of the more affordable options are DC. Dunno if you might be able to AC/DC relay the drive, I don't know and I'm not in a position to test that idea. Cheers, al.
  22. So .. does anyone know these units inside and out ? I ended up getting an integra 32 but can't even get the board to talk to dloadx .. i select the com port, it connects ( at least the light turns green ) and then I don't get the popup box that the you tube shows, and when i try and read data it says not connected .. so I'm kinda stuck before I start ! I have the ethernet connector and haven't tried to connect that thinking I would set up the panel and a keypad first ? Any ideas or hints ? Cheers, al.
  23. Sure, all the manuals are at manuals.fibaro.com .. Specifically though : https://manuals.fibaro.com/rs-man Cheers, al.
  24. HI @Tabbrez, You could always add https://www.fibaro.com/en/products/roller-shutter-2/ to an AC motorised shutter ? Will also work with curtains and blinds if they are AC motor powered. Cheers, al.
