  1. Hi Karsten, I think the wallmote touch sensing is poorly designed - I doubt a firmware upgrade will fix this. I donated mine to a friend who has the Zipatile Home Controller. It behaves exactly the same with the Zipatile. I am now using the Remotec ZRC-90 - they are cheap and they work. You will need a Lua script to get all presses to work but this a simple copy paste exercise. Cheers
  2. I have the same application for running the swimming pool pump using a Fibaro switch and contactor. I tried the approach of using a VD to display the energy. I could get this to work but I couldn't get the HC2 built in energy panel to see the VD energy. I don't think it is possible. Autofrank had some nice examples of Virtual Devices. In the end I swapped one of my older Fibaro relay switches (Zwave Gen4) to do the job. You can still buy the Fibaro Gen4 devices in the EU. But when these are no longer available then there will not be a solution. Fibaro - How difficult will it be to add manual declare option with the Gen5 Fibaro switches?
  3. Wallmote Quad has has glitched again. This time it worked for a whole week. I will pack it away until a newer version of firmware is released. I might try the Devolo wall switch in the meantime.
  4. I have moved my Wallmote very close to the HC2. It hasn't failed now in three days - this is the longest period so far. I suspect the failure could be due to a routing problem. Maybe a parameter needs to be set? Still doesn't explain why the Wallmote glitches. I had the original Aoetec motion sensors which I struggled to get to work properly in my network. They too kept failing after a few days. They would only work if I didn't rout them through another device, ie close to the HC2. I replaced these with fibaro sensors. For now this will have to be the solution.
  5. This is an application note from Vesternet. How to add Minimote to HC2. http://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes/apnt-42#.WexHdYhx2Uk This first step is important: Reset the Minimote by holding its 'Associate' and 'Learn' buttons until the LEDs stop blinking. (factory reset) My current Minimote firmware version is at 1.7 - There is a vesrion 1.9 available but while everything is working I don't fiddle. I set my parameter 250 = 0. I see Vesternet recommends setting 250 = 1. Group Mode Parameter 250 [1 byte dec]: 0 Scene Mode Parameter 250[1 byte dec]: 1 I also struggled to get them included iniatially. It was a long time ago that I did this so sadly I don't remeber all the details.
  6. I have just bought the Wallmote. It's a nice product but still too buggy to be very useful. The battery draining problem is down to the firmware. I did a firmware upgrade which fixed the battery draining but now it goes nuts every so often. It works perfectly for a couple of days then glitches. Flashing blue light for a couple of minutes then it seems to recover. Firmware ver 1.8. This firmware version mysteriously dissapeared from their web page. so I am guessing it is not stable. You also need the Z-Stick to do firmware upgrades - additional expense. Update cannot be done with USB connection like with the Minimote. My suggestion is to sit this out until they fix their firmware properly. I am going to try exlude the Wallmote and add it again - hopefully this improves things. I have used their Minimotes for more than 5 years without problems.
  7. Hello, I recently had a problem with my ISP treating HC2 notifications as SPAM. I set-up my HC2 SuperUser email settings to a Gmail account. I set the Gmail forwarding to my regular email. Now I could sea the notification in Gmail account. I could also see the reply email from my ISP "550 Spam message". I hope this can help somebody.
  8. Hello, I have an Aeotec Wallmote (Quad). Initial problem was the battery was draining in a day or two. Solution was to update firmware. I found a version 1.8 which fixed the battery problem. I now have a new problem – the Wallmote glitches about every three days. The blue LED backlight flashes randomly on and of for about 2 minutes. It eventually recovers. Also a word of warning – If you don’t have an Aeotec Z-Stick you cannot do firmware update. There was no mention of this on Aeotec site. Luckily I had a Z-Stick. Does anybody have the Wallmote working without problems? If so what version of firmware? Thank you
  9. I need to manually declare power consumption with a switch 2 FGS-223. I am using one of the relays to drive a contactor. This is working without a problem. The energy of the contactor is 1W and I need to show the 750Watts of a pump. Is there a possibility of using Lua if it is not possible to do this with the template?
