  3. Sometimes I really feel sorry for you guys I've been using Fibaro HC2 for more then 2 years until I have finally said to myself enough is enough. In December I have started migration to Indigo and now I spend more time just having fun with the system then moaning on Fibaro ... I still have HC2 which I have put in my country house with 4 devices connected to it, no scenes, plugins etc because that's what HC2 is build for. Simple nice looking system for remote control but not for a serious home automation. I agree that in HC2 you have nice interface out of the box but other then that there are more issues then advantages. On the other hand if someone doesn't like to design and build his own front end for iOS devices - Indigo is not a good option. I did it and I'm very happy (my wife also finally PS Indigo user forum is really boring compared to Fibaro
  4. j.nowacki, I have been using Fibaro products for more then 2 years. I have almost 100 devices from Fibaro and have convinced a few friends to buy Fibaro products. During that time I have also invested 100 if not 1000s of hour to improve and support Fibaro software both in my installation and also sharing the knowledge with other forum members. Thanks that I didn't have as many problems as other has described. I was anxiuosly waiting for v4 to get the best experience I should expect from a renowned company like Fibaro. Unfortunatelly It didn't happen and I needed to find another solution so that my Fibaro devices could be usefull. I have moved to Indigo which has some flows but at the current situation suites my needs much better. I plan to keep my HC2 and would be happy to give you another chance if you change your approach and start doing better software. In my opinion you are still doing really good main powered devices (I didn't have any major problems) and great looking but not that great working battery operated devices. MAYBE YOU SHOULD FINALLY FOCUS ON SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN DO REALLY GOOD AND STOP PRETENDING THAT EVERYTHING YOU DO IS FANTASTIC. I'm a reasonable person and as soon as you deliver something GOOD and start listening to your CUSTOMERS, I'm into it. Regards Ryszard
  5. To be honest I would prefer to spend these money on used Mac Mini plus Indigo (which is a fully blown computer with best OS on the planet) then on a dedicated box. Other then that I'm sure HS is a good and capable product.
  6. I also fully recommend Indigo especially if you have some time do develop user interface. It's very easy to create customized pages for iPhone/iPad so I have done a few together with my wife to make her really HAPPY But real happines is in it's stability. Finally I spend time playing with my HA not constantly solving problems. Here is my post about some functionalities (supposed to be a joke at Fibaro but all the listed features are true in Indigo) http://forum.fibaro.com/viewtopic.php?t=6080 and here is about the controller (I have used 6 years old MacBook) http://forum.fibaro.com/viewtopic.php?t=6094
  7. Fully agree ! From my perspective HA market looks today as PC market was in the 80's. I'm not sure if Google or Apple will consolidate it as they don't fully grasp the idea. Probably a new global player will arise on all of those dispersed systems. In my opinion neither Fibaro nor Indigo are ready to do it for completely different reasons. However today Indigo is better suited for advanced and demanding solutions. I still plan to use Fibaro at my country house for a very limited number of devices and scenes.
  8. In the past few months I had the opportunity to test completely NEW HOME CENTRE. It’s been a secret project but I hope you will enjoy to here about the initial results. I have to admit that I’m absolutely amazed with the possibilities and technical specification. Here is a list of key NEW features that are included in the box: - 3 layer architecture (Advanced OS, Z-wave layer, Control Application layer) - OS support for optional VPN, WEB, WIKI, e-mail Server etc - z-wave layer support: SUC/SIS/Primary/secondary, Z-Wave Plus, SDK 5.0, optimised transmitting queue handling, remote firmware updatable - Application Layer: (see below and next post) - network connectivity Ethernet/WiFi (b/g/n) - support for Bluetooth - built in battery with up to 10h standby time w/o power - 2 USB ports fully supported - HDMI port - microphone and speakers (also support for external) - built in hard disk for application data - support of external z-sticks - built in keyboard and LCD screen To use this NEW Home Centre you would need to install the newest Application version 6 (actually 6.020) Have tested the software with over 100 nodes and I’m surprised with reach functionality and stability. Check this post on application features: http://forum.fibaro.com/viewtopic.php?p=53237#53237 PS At the request of Fibaro team I'd like to add that above mentioned HOME CENTRE doesn't come from Fibaro but work with ALL Fibaro devices
  9. I think that it's time to reveal the mysterious v6. It's a current version of Indigo software. My intention wasn't to offend anyone but just to show what is possible with an advanced Home Automation system as Indigo is. If anyone is interested in migrating just visit the Indigo Domotics web site. PS I continue to use ALL current Fibaro devices so may be visiting this forum from time to time. HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. HA doesn't have to be a frustrating experience but a real enjoyment
  10. ho, ho ho, Santa Claus was very good for me
  11. shapa, Stop laughing! Admit that you have also access to that version
  12. deanrparry, Agree, it can be done with 4 year old It took me 15 mins to prepare it. here is another example - not my real room
  13. OK as promised first screenshot- my customised alarm clock for iPad/iPhone:
  14. screen shots soon ... if Fibaro allow me to continue this post. It's unbelievable but they have blocked my post about NEW HOME CENTRE - are they afraid of something or don't understand the freedom of speech
