  1. I have to be honest with you. For a $700 piece of equipment, it can't seem to handle even the simplest stuff. I wanted to have a light turn on when the garage door opens, but only if it is dark outside. Turns out there isn't a "is Dark" so I learned I had to make a global variable and set it. OK, seems cheesy, but I did it. Or so I thought. I made a global variable "IsDark" I made 2 scripts. One to set it to 1(True) 15 minute before sunset. Another to set it to 0(False) at Sunrise. These scripts no longer seem to run automatically, as it is 10AM and it is still set to 1, and at night (and I'm at a normal day/night latitude). If I run the scenes manually by clicking run, they function as expected, although seem to force the conditional as they will always set the value regardless of the time (I think this is a function of clicking scenes manually, as it seems to just ignore all conditionals). Which I'm OK with. But I can't seem to get these scenes to run automatically. Then from time to time, I get application busy errors (screen shot provided). However, I'm not sure what ID 18 is. I'm not sure what the application is. Add onto this, I've also received the dreaded "Too many instances" issue too. I've scanned through the forum (because the documentation is useless for this error) and have increased my script to 4 instances. Still doesn't seem to help. So I'd like to ask Fibaro... And I'd like you to provide me instructions as though I'm a total newb to all of this. And the furthest I'd like to go is Block programming. If you tell me I have to go into LUA land, then I think we can all agree that this system has failed. Fibaro.. Please tell me. How do I take 1 Fibaro Door Sensor and 1 Light dimmer and have the light turn on when the door is opened and it is after sunset and before sunrise, and then have the light turn off 5 minutes later. What is the "official" Fibaro way of doing this so that I don't get application busy errors, so that I don't run out of instances, etc. If you need time to QA this in the lab, I'm happy to wait. I'm a technical guy, and I seem to be running into A LOT of issues getting even the basic things to work with the Fibaro. I can't imagine doing really complex scenes with it, much less home security until these basic issues are sorted out. I am on the version 4.070 of the Fibaro system on an HC2. Thank you.
  2. It took a few times of doing exactly the same thing (your directions). But it finally worked. Thank you for your assistance.
  3. For a $700 system (here in the US) and not easy to get as well. This is not worth the money. Simple things are missing like... here's how to setup your first scene. And even with that, the user has to know what an error like "to many instances" mean. Nope, I shouldn't have to. Oh... And is it getting really hot in here? I changed the system from C to F and now it appears as though I might be on fire.
  4. I just got my system, so if I'm doing something wrong-assume something simple. I have a plug-in appliance module (Leviton) and the motion sensor. I made two magic scenes. If the motion sensor is not tripped for 15 minutes, turn on the module. If the motion sensor is tripped, turn off the module. I came back to a "to many scenes" error, and the appliance module was labeled as dead. First off, this should be "Too many scenes". Then upon looking around on the forum, since there doesn't seem to be decent documentation anywhere, I find out this is because every time the condition is met, it starts a new instance? So every 15 minutes, it starts up a new instance of this thing? With a magic scene, I would assume it would run the rule, and then go away. How am I supposed to control the number of instances in a magic scene? What does it all mean?
  5. So I did that. At least, I *THINK* I did that. I set it to Seismometer, saved it, then went to wake it up, by popping open the back cover and pressing the button 3 times. That still didn't seem to make it take effect. Then I thought, well, maybe I have to wake it up before I did the change. So I woke it up, then made the change. The seismometer option shows up in the drop down, but as soon as I hit save, it reverts back to tamper.
  6. Oh. Yes. OK, now I know where to put my questions. Thanks for making that connection for me.
  7. It seems like Smartthings and Homeseer can pair with the GE Link lightbulbs, but the Fibaro can't. Is there something special I'm supposed to do to get it to pair? I've gone through the reset path 3 times (getting it to flash) but still no association. http://smile.amazon.com/GE-Wireless-Connected-60-Watt-Equivalent/dp/B00NOL16K0?sa-no-redirect=1
  8. Thanks for the tip. I set it to seismometer, hit save, and then the system comes back listing it as Tamper.
  9. I'm a beginner, so I'm looking for some help... even just configuring Fibaro Devices on HC2. I have no idea where to go in this forum. There is no "devices" category. There are virtual devices and other devices. If I have a motion sensor that is supposed to have a seismometer on it, and I can't get it to show up, where do I post that? If I have a leviton device I have questions about, where do I post that? Other devices? What "aren't" other devices? How come there isn't a section on plugins and panels? What is Modules for? Plugins and panels because there isn't a modules section on the HC2. What is the difference between Community support and Knowledge Base? This forum may have worked well in the past, but it might be time to do some house cleaning prior to your "Full US release in a few weeks"... which has been upcoming for several weeks. Good luck, I hope you make it work.
  10. Hi Fibaro, Can you tell us what is still "indecent" from Amazon Echo. If you tell us what it needs, we can either Help you overcome the issue. Ask amazon to fix whatever issue is preventing you from moving forward. Looks like you are all doing a great job with other things, but maybe this has fallen off the radar. Let's work together to get this done, and not in one of the clever (but a bit hack-a-day) ways some of the smart people have managed to get it to work. Thanks.
  11. The fact that a HCL doesn't exist for this platform astounds me. How am I supposed to offer this up to customers, make a profit, when I can't price together a complete solution knowing that it "even should" work? Yikes. Yes, there are different frequencies in US/AUS which is 915MHz and EUR is 868 MHz. At least fibaro should set a framework for their customers to voluntarily fill this information in.
