  1. Hello, I'm new to the forum and I do apologize if this is not the correct location to post this. If incorrect, please move this topic to the correct category. Preamble: I want to use Fibaro to automate heating inside my apartment and create heating zones. The heating source is an apartment boiler which needs to be turned on/off to heat the agent that gets circulated through the heating pipes and radiators. I have the boiler control set up with Fibaro switches and it works very well. I am planning on installing Fibaro Heat Controllers on all radiators to control heating zones, but my problem is knowing when to start the boiler. As an example, for two rooms, Room1 and Room2, if Room1 needs heating, I need to know to turn on the boiler and rely on Room2 heat controller to not allow heating agent in that room's radiator. My question: Do the Heat Controller thermostats have any way of reporting that they need heating or that they're open to circulate heating agent? The direction I'm going with this is to query the thermostats in a scene to determine if they're open and then start the boiler which will pump agent through the whole system. If none of the thermostats are open, then stop the boiler. I cannot keep the boiler running all the time due to expense and strain on the pump. Any thoughts or insights? Thanks
  2. I have just brought me an HCL, a double relay, and heating controllers with temperature sensors. I wanted to create a system when I am able to run each room on its own heating schedules. For this. I have got the TRVs which have the separate temperature sensors linked to each TRV. .So far I have got the boiler running all the time, with the TRVs running their own schedule via the heating panel. But I am finding that at times, the room is below the temperature desired and the TRV serpoint it still stuck that temperature. What I mean by this is, I want a room to be 23c, but the sensor reporting 21c, and the trv setpoint is till at 23c. Should the set point of the trv be pushed to max in order to get to the temperature required on the temperature sensor. I am also struggling on how I can get the combi boiler to fire when a room is below the desired temperature. Any ideas on how this would be implemented.

  4. Hi... let me describe the situation: I have three bathrooms with three heaters connected to one hot water circulation pump (one heating area). The three bathrooms are in three different floors while the thermostat is only in one bathroom. I would like to control the temperature of the three bathrooms individually... for this reason I bought the following: - 3 Danfoss LC13 - 3 Fibaro motion sensors - 1 Fibaro switch I have installed the 3 LC13 to the heaters and the 3 Fibaro motion sensors in the bathrooms. As regards the switch.. I have installed it instead the of the thermostat thus to start and stop the hot water circulation pump and boiler. I have created 3 heating schedules for the 3 bathrooms in HC2 heating planel. Here the problem: I have created 3 separated linked devices in order to control the switch, in particular: - First linked device between temperature sensor in first floor bathroom and pump switch - Second linked device between temperature sensor in ground floor bathroom and pump switch - Third linked device between temperature sensor in underground floor bathroom and pump switch This configuration doesn't works at all.. because when one sensor order to switch on the heating pump.. immediatelly after the switch is turned off by the other one. Actually.. in order to avoid this problem.. I'm controlling the pump with three different switches (connected in parallel) which is absolutely expensive and crazy solution. Could you suggest me another solution? Should I have to use scenes instead of heating panel schedules? Thank you Very Much in advance
  5. Hi, I had a fairly complex scene running before the update, which i stitched together from code on this forum about a year ago. It checks all my valves set temperatures and compares them with the nearest temperature sensor. If there are valves that need the boiler to be on, i turn it on, if not i turn it off. This happens all day long with a lot of sleeps. Now before the update the code worked fine and used the following boiler functionality: local boiler = 139 boilerStatus = tonumber(fibaro:getValue(boiler, 'state')) -- Check current state (1 = on 0 = off) fibaro:call(boiler, 'turnOn') -- Turn boiler on fibaro:call(boiler, 'turnOff') -- Turn boiler off The state variable still seems to work. The turnOn and turnOff actions are gone... I can only call: reconfigure() -- every device has this... setmode() -- don't know how to use this => must i give an on/off parameter somehow? I have never used an action/function that requires a parameter... Any tips? Thanks already Florian
