Sending API HTTP requests now with e-mail as username?

carlgustavoberg

Question

Hi!

I recently updated to 4.110, which at first left me with almost all of my devices in a "Device not configured" state. After trying to restore my three latest backups, I ended up with a working setup - even though I lost some months of home automation improvements (despite having backed up three times during that time period). Anyway, this is not the problem now.

I have several other network connected servers and appliances that communicate with the HC2 through the HTTP API, and since the wizard "forced" me to change my login to my e-mail address - I'm unable to get those HTTP API requests to work.

I used to be able to request for example the below URL:

http://admin:[email protected]/api/sceneControl?id=16&action=start

Those requests of course stopped working when my login was changed, but when I try to get it to work again by changing username and password - it doesn't. I've tried encoding the @ to %40.

Basically, what I tried is the following:

Please login or register to see this link.

as well as:

Please login or register to see this link.

This is really annoying and important to get working again. Hope that someone can help me!

mmmm could it be that the final string now has two @ symbols and get crazy when interpreting the message?

  • Thanks for your response Flowy, I thought about that earlier as well - at least it would be a problem if the @ in the username was not to be encoded. Anyway - it sorted itself out! The problem was that I recently changed login both locally and with Fibaro Cloud - and Fibaro Cloud forced me to use a more complex password, which made me think that I had changed to that password locally as well. The solution was replacing @ with %40, which I already tried but with the wrong password.
