Apple Watch - Fibaro scenes dont run

tcviper

Question

Hello everyone,

I have an Apple Watch (3rd gen) with iPhone 8. The scenes work fine when running on the iphone, but when I run a scene on the Apple Watch, it ends with a X with every scene. Ive tried to re-add the app on the Apple Watch, even reinstalled the entire Fibaro app, but for some reason it wont run any scenes from the watch. Any idea what this could be?

Thank you :)

Hello @tcviper,

HC2 on 4.140 and Fibaro app v2.19.0

I have iPhone 7 Plus still on iOS 10.3.3 and Apple watch 1 generation with OS 3.2.3 and scenes are working fine. I try even with iPhone app completely closed and still working fine. Wish I can help you more. Maybe it has something to do with Apple hardware and software since your is more recent.

  • Actually it seems the same thing is happening with all widgets on the iphone.... communication error, while in the FIbaro app itself on the iphone it works.

Since Apple likes to make sudden changes with their OS making some apps not working anymore I'm still waiting with updating to latest iOS. Of course all serious developers for iOS should prepare for such changes in advance and on time, but it seems that it is not the case so I always wait little bit longer.

  • For some reason it is now fixed (after logging in with our main Fibaro ID master account on the iOS app). I guess it's not allowed to have multiple Fibaro ID accounts for each user.

    Probably not ; )

And since you can have multiple Home Centers under the one Fibaro ID.

    cheers

  • I use Homebridge on a Synology to connect existing Fibaro HC2 > Homekit ;)

And since that works, i can control everything from my watch with Siri :)
