Dimmer 2 module

Kramadana

Question

Hi all

just installed my first dimmer 2. Everything works fine except being able to turn it off.

Its almost as though the switch is allowing a small current through it as the lights stay on at about 10% brightness.

Any ideas???

thanks

You'll have to connect a "bypass 2" to the lamp, buy a different lamp or add more load. Connect as shown in the manual.

Please login or register to see this link.

I you want some background, please use the search function of this forum and type keyword "bypass"

What's more, as a result Dimmer 2 is also capable of being connected to the Neutral lacking installation ; )

It adds about 0.5 Watt. It is an electronic switch that "bypasses" some current across the load (part of the sine wave). It is not a simple resistor (or capacitor). Does this help?
