Hey,

 

I just got my HC2 (v4.160) and 3 smoke sensors (FGSD-002). I am so excited to make it functional that I started fixes the pieces immediately.

 

Works:

- Got 3 lights on HC2 - power, LAN, and internet.

- Learn mode blinks when trying to add a new device via the webpage.

- The smoke sensor changes colors if I keep pressing the B-button for few secs.

 

No working:

Instructions are simple but somehow not able to register smoke sensors to the HC2. Quickly pressing B-button 3 times does not help.

- Tried like 10 times. 

- Increased learning time to 200 secs

 

It can't be simple than this... am I alone with this issue? Or is there hidden trick?

First, try to exclude them (choose exclude and push 3 times (quick) on the smoke sensor button

(you will see on the screen: device removed

 

then include device, and push the button 3 times fast (on the screen device added etc)

Thanks, as you recommended I did and the output is:

 

19:55:25] Home Center in learning mode
[19:55:29] Device was deleted successfully
[19:55:30] Slave Device Detected
[19:55:30] Removing devices finished
[19:55:50] Home Center in learning mode
[19:56:20] Adding devices complete

please try again to add the smoke sensor, this happens with all 3 devices?

Hi Akatar,

 

It worked like a charm on second try ... I was playing with only one sensor so far.

 

Thanks a lot for your super fast help. 

 

PS: I will be asking many more such questions in future, as I would like to add other sub-systems also one by one and playing with HC2 .
