HC2 loading error after plug-in in electricity

freespirits

Question

Hello,

first of all sorry for my english, it's not my native language.

I'm having a problem with my Fibaro HC2

Everytime the power is removed from the Fibaro HC2 (either if I simply just unplug the socket, or there's an elecricity fault in the whole house) when you plug-in the power back, the Fibaro start loading but never finishes doing it.
All lights are solid except last one (wrench) which is blinking.

Here's a link of a video (with 6x speed) of what happens:
1. First correct loading of the Fibaro
2. I simulate an Elecricity fault by removing the power connector
3. The Fibaro Loops in blinking mode
4. I press several times the rear buttons and the Fibaro shuts off
5. Then I press the power on button and Fibaro starts loading and completes loading correctly.

Everything seems to work properly on the Fibaro HC2 when is loaded.

I've had this problem for a long time (almost 12 months) and I've upgraded firmware several times so it's not a problem that happened from a recent update.

I've contacted the Fibaro Support but they want me to send the unit which is not an option for me bacause:

1. Right now I'm completely dependant on the HC2 for my everyday needings in my house
2. My warranty it's over so I probably will end up paying a lot
3. The problem it's there... but I can definitely live with it... and if I send back to Poland i'll problably will have to wait a lot...

Here's what I tried so far (with no positive results):
1- Change the CMOS battery (I've done this 'cause it used to loose all the Time&Data everytime blinking loop happened, after cmos change data is kept)
2- I've entered HC2 BIOS and checked that Power->After Power Failure is set to "Power On" (as in this tutorial

Please login or register to see this link.

 )
Note: during blinking loop you can't enter BIOS or see Fibaro console by plugging in a monitor in the VGA port... it's just stays black...
3- I've performed a full recovery & backup by entering into recovery mode

Do you have any idea or hint to give me?

Thank you

Hi

Actually our HC2 are like yours and I think it is a kind of OS problem and dont depend on CMOS or anything else because I saw these many times.

My problem is that my HC2 is like your blinking at the final segment and never will finish !

Hey, have you managed to resolve the problem?

I "resolved" it by buying an UPS... so even when there's an elecricity fault my HC2 does not reboots....

I know it's a workaround... but it kind of works

How long it took for them to repair and send it back?

Do you paid for the service?
