One of my TKB switches seems to be turning on and off ok but has suddenly lost any power reporting in HC2. On the device icon the "actual" remains at zero and the "total" has gone completely. Any ideas how I might get this back without going through another exclude/include process.

I need some help with json decoding. I'm succesfully got the data in HC2 from Rasspery/Pyton but I'm not able to decode that data in HC2. Any advice, please?! --starting LUA code here local smartmeter= Net.FHttp('192.168.1.10'); response = smartmeter:GET("/index.py") fibaro:debug('Answer: ' ..response) --this is the data response coming from Rasppery/Pyton: {"Amp": 13.29, "Volt": 98.01} if (tonumber(status)==200 and tonumber(errorCode)==0) and response~=nil then fibaro:debug('Decoding...') local harduino = json.decode(response) fibaro:debug('Decode: ', harduino) fibaro:debug('Or decode: ', harduino.Volt) else fibaro:debug('Not able to decode!') -- this is the executed code end --end LUA code here

A bit embarrassed to ask for advice on this, but I seem not to be able to understand the structure of simple IF-tests in HC2 Scenes, regardless whether these are created in the Block editor or LUA. I need an IF test with the following structure: ....IF ((a AND b) OR (a AND c)) THEN.... Due to the lack of parantheses, I am not able to understand the logical structure of the resulting statement, which in my mind seems confusing ...IF ((a AND b OR c AND b), I use this code to save electricity on my snow melting mats by twice a day testing whether weather conditions has recently set the variable SNOW to YES in which case mats are turned on for two hours (morning and afternoon) and the variable set back to NO. Seems now my mats turn on twice a day (at times "a" and "c") regardless of the the variable ("b"). Are there any "paranthesis" conventions in LUA I have not understood ?

i have a client who has the Nexa AD 146 and AD 147 modules. these are swedish brand which come up on the system as Everspring. The blue icon at the top of the home center showed over 8000 notifications and each one basically said 'Power has been applied' it is slowing the HC2 down a lot. question is why are they coming up?? there are no templates for these built into the HC2, and the manual only contained a few parameters about dimming and switching. any ideas guys? thanks

[SOLVED]HC2 does not recognized any light controller
Andres Cadena posted a question in Home Center 2
Good day, I have a HCL controlling the lights, each module was included with no much trouble to the network, now I got the HC2, and while trying to add the same controller (after remove it from the HCL list) it is not able to recognize it. I have added other items to the HC2 with no issues (Locks, smart outlets, motion sensors) it just does not recognize any of the Dimmer/double switch I have tried. any possible solution? regards, Andres -
Fibaro Motion Sensor - unable to rename or allocate to room
Highlander posted a question in Scenes and Interface
Hi I recently acquired the HC2 and am still finding my way around it. I have encountered an issue which I cannot find a solution for. Not sure if I did something wrong. I have added a Fibaro Motion Sensor. The adding part appears to go fine with all the components showing up under unallocated. (i.e the motionsensor, temperature etc). However they just have port nrs as names and when I select them, I am unable to rename or allocate to a room (both on general or advanced tabs.). The rooms drop down is empty and if I only type a new name and save, the screen just does the spinning circle and hangs. The sensor otherwise appears to work fine, returning temperature etc. Would appreciate any suggestion on where it might be going wrong. Regards -
I understand that the plugin in HC2 is only to enable manual control of lights from the HC2 and from the Fibaro App. Are there any other ways I could include one or more hue lights into scenes? Any coding? Anything else before I have to throw a large investment I made in hue lights or instead the Fibaro one? Many thanks for your support.

Hi, just an idea for future updates: To let a user to specify any device's friendly name (to use in scenes, VD) Every new device has ID (its r/o property) used to address in scenes etc. But in big system the ID tells nothing, and its very hard to operate with numbers. I read the forum, there is HomeTable workaround for this, but IMO the best would be to have editable device friendly name in device properties. Lets say it will assign "device.<id>" by default. Also would be great to add a few functions to lua framework like: fibaro:GetValueByName("<device_name>","value") And let users to use device_name as triggers. BR

I have been using HC2 since mid August. Mainly to control a number of Heatit Z-Wave Thermostats (electric floor-heating). Each room is assigned to different zones in the heating panel. In the heating panel I have designed time schedules for each zone with different set temperatures depending on time of the day. Lately (3 weeks ago) I have started to observe some very strange behavior. The temperature is set at 18 degrees from 22:00 (10pm) to 05:00 (5am). At 22:00 the temperature starts to fall (I track this using the consumption tab). The temperature continues to fall until 0:00 exactly (midnight) when it bounces back up to 23 degrees. It then maintains 23 degrees until next time the heating schedule shifts to a new set-temp (@11am) Anyone that have experienced this problem? Thoughts and ideas highly appreciated!

Blank screen while changing admin password on IE on HCL
kunoch posted a question in Home Center Lite
I do not know about HC2, but on HCL I get the best results with ie (in private mode). The only issue I face with ie is that when trying to change the password for the administrator, I get a blank screen, so I use chrome for this. changing screens in ie takes around 3 sec or so. sometimes it takes up to 30, even when 'similar' window changes are made. Why? I have no clue. -
Dear all, I am a newby. Running HC2 since yesterday version 4.140. Added some rooms, Hue bridge and a Fibaro motions sensor. What I am complaining is the reponsetime of the HC2 while jumping between different menu items eg. from "Your Home" to "rooms". It takes 5-10 seconds to change to another item, HC2 is showing circle with blue dots in this period. The reponsetime in video tutorials is quite ok (1-3 s). So I changed from PC to Laptop, trying different browsers like Chrome and Firefox. But still the same slow action. What about your responsetimes and if they are shorter, what could be the reason. Or is this quite normal for HC2?

I added dallas tempsensor to my already existing binary sensor. excluded the sensor and included the sensort again. i would have expected a temperature sensor to be added next to the binary sensors. Unfortunately this did not happen. anyone have experiences like this and has a solution ?

Good evening, My Fibaro Home Center 2 keeps crashing. Tried a lot of things already, like recovery and putting back the backup. Recovery and completely reinstalling the setup (excluding and including all devices) helped for a month or two. Then coming home from a short vacation, the HC2 had crashed again. I notices that the Aeon Multisensors kept sending updates on humidity, lux, etc all the time. So I switched those updates off, only using the breached/safe status updates. Still the HC2 kept on crashing. Updating from 4.130 to 4.140 did not help. Then I did another recovery and putting back the last 1.40 backup. Now I monitored the CPU activity. Figure 1: Without any reason, the CPU starts to behave very erratic at 17:15. Figure 2: During that time no updates are recorded on the laptop. But somehow the HC2 survived and kept on going. Figure 3: Another spike at 19:10 Figure 4: But the HC2 keeps performing normally Figure 5: At 19.35, again this erratic CPU behaviour, but now the HC2 crashes while we were watching Netflix. So no activity/movement in the house. Can anybody explain what is going on? What is causing these strange CPU activities? Are these CPU activities linked to the crashing of the HC2? And what can be done to prevent the HC from crashing over and over again? I appreciate any comment. Setup: HC2 Aeon Multisensors 6 (5x, using adapters, not batteries) Fibaro Dimmer 2 ( 4x) Fibaro socket switch (1X)

Communication problems with Fibaro water sensor
Xtrnisse posted a question in Other Devices / Third-party devices
Hi! Since a while back now I'm having communication problems with two of my Fibaro water sensors. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0e9d3nfn2xbjly3/Skärmklipp 2017-10-31 21.41.10.png?dl=0 This is a problem since they are part of a setup to prevent my bathroom and kitchen from flooding, should there be a leak from the washing machine or dish washer. The batteries in the devices look fine in the HC2, and when i test them they do warn for a flood. But since they don't communicate with the HC2, the magnetic valve doesn't close the water flow. I've already tried re-building the Z-wave network, with no luck. Any suggestions for how to fix this?-

Hi there, I've been working on getting Google Home (GH) to work with my HC2. It requires a few components - IFTTT, AWS (for the web action) and an ESP8266 to poll AWS for actions. - ESP8266 - I use a WEMOS D1 Mini to use the built-in USB for power - configured to use Arduino code - AWS - I use API, Lambda and DynamoDB as a simple message process. - IFTTT - using the Assistant modules to call AWS and post data to the database I then use a Virtual Device to poll the ESP8266 to see if there are any messages on the database, pull them down and pass them back to HC2 as JSON. The ESP8266 then clears out the database record so the last command isn't used again. At the HC2, the JSON is used in an LUA script. It's a bit clunky, but the IFTTT integration is very fast to AWS, so any delay is really the second or two that it takes HC2 to poll a VC; about a second longer than the verbal response from IFTTT. If there's any interest - say 10 people - I'll rough up the components and post them over to Github.
