Hi Guys, So i am looking at the FGT-001 Radiator Thermostat to expand my home automation system and it has left me with some questions: 1) Is it suitable for floorheating? 2) Can the charger for the internal battery always be connected as the FGT-001 would be mounted in an impossible place 3) On each level i have the Fibaro smoke sensor which i plan to use as Temperature sensor. But there is also an optional bluetooth sensor available. As I am also looking for a solution to measure outdoor temperature, my question would be if these could also be used outdoor? Thanks for the help!

  3. Hi, Iḿ fairly new to programming Fibaro HC so I would very much appreciate some assistance from the Fibaro community. Iǘe set up a HC2 4.131 in a summer-cabin built up from four small wooden houses. two of which have their own bathroom with underfloor heating controlled by Thermofloor Multireg. In the living rooms I have used Fibaro wallplugs with aeonlabs multisensor together for controlling electric wall-mounted heaters. When adding the wallplug to the system the setting for "Controlled Device" default to lighting. Does this parameter affect the ability to make the wallplug a suitable component to be a part of a heating panel? Will AeonLabs Smart Switch have an option to set the "Controlled Device" to some sort of heating appliance? Is there a VD thermostat, made up from wall plugs and multisensors, available for download? Thank You

  5. Hi! I am a newbie and sorry for asking questions that may be answered elsewhere. I want to control the temperature level of an old boiler by changing the Resistance of an input to it. Ideally, I could use a Fibaro dimmer(?) to do this by controling a pontentiometer (not sure if this will work). Two questions: - how can I change the scale from "%" to "degrees Celsius" as viewed in my Vera Plus controller. Reprogramming of Fibaro or Vera? Luup programming? - what is the output of the dimmer? Less Tension or Current(?) in Rx dimming mode? Any ideas? Any other component that you would suggest. Can the Fibaro Relay be made into a dimmer?   6. Good morning everyone! I have set up several rooms in the house with a thermostat and a wall plug directly associated, the thermostat controlling the wall plug. The thermostat is also controlled by a heating panel, but that's a different topic and works fine. Yesterday one wall plug stopped communicating with the HC2, and the thermostat would not control it either, it was just always on and the room got rather warm! I tried to remove the wall plug and add it again, and do the association again, everything seems fine, but the thermostat WILL NOT control the wall plug... I am totally lost, I worked with this for several hours yesterday, tried factory reset on the thermostat and the wall plug, to no avail... The only difference I can actually see is that one wall plug displays the serial no. and the other doesn't, see picture. Can this possibly affect my setup??? I am grateful for any help!   7. So, I went and bought a Carrier Cor wifi thermostat for $350 because the HC2 has a plug-in for Carrier Furnace thermostats. I have the new thermostat up and running and I am now trying to get my HC2 to connect to it. In my HC2, 1. I have the Carrier Furnace plug-in installed 2. In the Carrier plug-in, under "advanced", then "network configuration", then "IP address", I hit search. 3. The plug-in can't find the ip address for the thermostat and says nothing is found 3. I have tried to input the IP address myself into the "IP Address" box and it still says it can't find the thermostat The thermostat is working normally, has an IP address and a MAC address, no problems with it. Any one have any idea how to get this to work or did I just waste $350 dollars??? Thanks!
  8. Hello, I'm looking for a simple thermostat function. I have a Fibaro Motion sensor for measuring temperature and I have electrical heating connected to a Switch relay. I have created a heating panel, but this needs to be connected to a thermostat which I don't have. Now I have seen that there was a function "Linking Devices" for heating, but this function isn't there in 4.110. It is replaced with associations, but this is not the solution. Can somebody help me please? Yannick
  9. From time to time my SRT323 loses the network connection and the display looks s follows: How can I reconnect the thermostat to my network? I have not found a way how to wake it up manually..... So far, I always have to exclude the SRT323 and include it again which is quite cumbersome. Does anybody have a solution?
  10. I am trying to make operational Comet Z wave Thermostat. It was connected (included) without problems, but it shows temperature "0°". The following message is shown in "advanced configuration" tab for this device: "Configuration The device does not have a template and may have limited functionality, please contact technical support in order to add the template for this device". Is any one has know-how to solve this issue?

  12. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new in the Fibaro/LUA programming scene and I'm looking for some help to create a virtual device. So far I was able to create a Virtual Device that will allow me to turn on a specific thermostatic valve based on a set Temperature and Room Temperature. I created this panel using LUA scripts: It's made of: - A Label that contains both the desired and actual room temperature - Various buttons that allow you to quickly change the desired room temperature It's a tiny panel that has all the functions I need and that I could personalize easily furthermore. In Fibaro Home screen the virtual device is shown this way: Which is... sort of good... however it's not really capable of various functions. If I understood correctly the elements that will be shown on the widget are those that have the "Main" radio button selected in the Advanced configuration: For example I set "main" the Label and the "+" button: So... my questions are: 1- Is there a way to show more than a single button in the widget shown in Home page (just like Fibaro and other devices widgets do: ex. : 2- Is there a way to personalize the text/label of those buttons? Now the only available button has a "power on" symbol and can't be changed. 3- What's the meaning of the "favourite" flag? I tried selecting it but nothing seems to change.   13. Hi. New to z wave and atill findinb my feet. Have an issue with danfoss living connect Radiator Valves. There is no template comming up on the HC2 so how do i control the set point and how to I manually enter variables? I also appear to be getting two way comms with these as i am receiving temperatures from the valve despite danfoss saying this is not possible? Any help would be great? Malcolm pics.pdf
  14. Hi have one Heatit thermostat in version 1.5 and two of them in version 1.8. I need to update the 1.5 to 1.8 but a cable and a software is requested. I got the software and the update procedure. The cable is very expensive, about 70€, is there someone that know the wires schema in order to self-made the cable?
  15. regarding: working solution for qubino on/off thermostat in HC2 (including app integration) device: qubino on/off thermostat controller: HC2 version 4.1 issue: setting target temperature fails status: found workaround Hi all, This week I decided to replace my ugly physical wallmounted thermostats with an invisible (in wall) alternative. I decided to go for the Qubino on/off thermostat to control my electrical infloor heating based on some web-site that claimed it was compatible with the HC2. Unfortunately it does not work out of the box, but I do believe I found a work-around that hopefully can be of use for some of you. First the problems: 1. The current temperature is not visible in HC2 2. Not possible to set the desired temperature from within HC2. This seems to be caused by misinterpretation of numerical values between qubino and HC2 (more below) The Solutions: 1. read current environment temperature The qubino thermostat does not actively send updates when the temperature changes, but HC2 is able to read it when you poll the device. I simply changed the polling interval to 1 minute, and that solved the issue 2. Setting the desired temperature This is the tricky one that requires a triggered event script as workaround. The problem is that setting a value of eg "22°C" for some reason becomes set as "2.2°" (notice the decimal point). This problem does not occur when you try to set the temperature to a decimal value, eg "21.5°" does get set correctly. My workaround is based on the observation that decimal values work correctly: instead of setting a desired temp of "22" we will request a desired temp of "22.01". This will be sent to qubino who will set the temp to "22.0" because it only supports one decimal (not 2). The HC2 will notice the value change in the qubino to 22.0 (being different from 22.01 triggering a seccond change event) and update the HC2 status to 22.0 Magic Now the remaining challenge is that the iPad/iPhone app do not allow us to set a value of "22.01" in the interface. We can only pick integers such as 21, 22, ... The following event script takes care of this. It gets triggered when the value of the qubino thermostat changes (value is the setpoint for the desired heating temp). If the value is too low, I assume it's due to the misinterpretation of the desired set point, and I reformat it before setting it again. I simply convert "2.2" into "22.01" and then set that value. Makes it easier to find what you are looking for when you open this thread . This is more a replacement / edit for the original plugin. I still use the original Plugin, so I have a device that is registered in the system as a Thermometer and an Humidity Sensor (devices 112 and 113, whose values are updatet by the VD). For the moment, I don’t think this can be done with a VD alone. Worth mentioning: don’t make too many calls in a short timeframe to the Nest API, it will just slow down everything. I did it this way, but you can change whatever you like, this makes programming fun . Getting started: (For easy first steps to get to your access token, use something like “Postman”) Get a Nest developer account. (documented here: https://developers.nest.com/documentation/cloud/rest-quick-guide) Create a new product with these permissions: Thermostat read/write v6 (if your Nest thermostat is running the most recent version) Away read/write v2 You will eventually get A Product ID A Product Secret An Authorization URL You will get a PIN code when you follow all steps You will eventually get an access token, which is what we’ll be using for everything else Use your access token to get your ID’s Do a GET to https://developer-api.nest.com using something like Postman (I did it using Fibaro scenes, but Postman is easier). You have to set the Headers “Authorization” with “Bearer <<your access token>>” “Content-Type” “application/json” This will give you all the data you want, including your thermostat(s) ID(s) and your structures ID(s) I made these Global variables: NESTawaytemp NESThome NESThumidity NESTnewTemp NESTstate NESTtarget NESTtargeteta NESTtemp I made a VD with some labels and buttons. I also did a VD with a slider to set the temperature, but that didn’t work the way I wanted it to. The slider is always 0 - 100. I edited it to be able to choose a temperature between 10°C and 30°C, but when you move the slider, the value isn’t visible “on the fly”. Changes to the slider are only possible with reload of page, for as far as I know. The new temperature did come in a label, but I found it to sluggish to use. Look at the attached images for more info.   17. Hello, I thought it was time to start learning some simple lua coding. Anyhow, thought I could get some help here. I am trying to make a slider adjusting a variable that controls two different wall plugs. I want to make a slider for behaving like a thermostat. I've got two electric heating panels which is connected to two wall plugs. My thought was that if I set slider value to 21 then it would cut the power to the wall plug when netatmo reaches that temperatur. I don't really know where to begin, help would be much appreciated.   18. Hi, I have a Thermo-Floor / Heatit Multireg thermostat controlling my floor heating. I was disappointed that it does not support power usage. So I wonder if it would be possible to somehow add to the device with LUA or a separate virtual device that accumulates wattage for the time it was active? I have not done very much LUA coding to know if this would be possible. Is it any point at pursuing this at all? An alternative would be to use an external actuator associated with the thermostat that supports power usage. But it would be more expensive and I'm not sure there is room in the wall box.   19. Hi all I am trying to create a scene that changes the setpoint temperature of my Nest thermostat to 10 degrees after windows have been opened. I want the setpoint temperature to be set back to its previous setting once windows are shut. The first part is easy as I have used IFTTT with a Maker channel. But it doesn't look like it's possible to set it back to previous setting through IFTTT. I have the Nest plugin installed which works fine and when I create a new LUA scene, the only action event is 'SetMode' and looks as follows: fibaro:call(9, "setMode", "") Unfortunately there is not too much information available on this so any help would be much appreciated.

  21. I have four Danfoss thermostats connected to HC2. I have noticed that they are marked as dead from time to time. It is probably pointless. If they wake up every 15 minutes (wake up interval set to 900 sec.) and then communicate with HC2 to set up the temperature, report battery level etc. so is there a need of checking them by HC2 every 125 sec. (standard polling time)? I think this could be the reason why they are marked as dead. So shouldn't I just set "Mark if dead" to 'No'? If I will do this the HC2 will stop to polling them every 125 sec.? What is your opinion - maybe I don't understand this in a right way? Kind Regards

  24. I'm having an issue with getting the Heating Panel to work! I have the following modules - 1) Fibaro Universal Module FGBS-001 2) Fibaro FGS-211 Relay Module 3) Dallas DS8b20 Temperature sensor I want to use these parts as a thermostat to control my hot water boiler. (i.e. temperature sensor on the hot water tank, when temperature drops below a threshold (between certain times of the day) the relay will answer the call for heat at the boiler by switching it on) I have added these modules to the HC2 but I am having problems trying to get them to be controlled by the heating panel. This is what I have done - a) I put the temperature sensor and the relay in a room named 'Water Tank' b) I have linked the temperature sensor and relay in the linked devices panel and named it Linked Hot Water c) I created a zone in the heating panel named 'Heat Control' then added the room 'Water Tank' to it d) I then set the temperature required with the day and time in the 'Heat Control' zone panel. But when the water temperature drops below the threshold set the relay won't switch on. What have I missed? Thanks
