  1. Hi, I installed another danfoss LC13 that works fine. The only thing i noticed is that when i press the wakeup button the temperature is not set to the desired value. Somebody familiar with that problem ?
  2. Hello, I have installed a multi-zone heating on my HC2 Fibaro. 2 rooms have the danfoss LC13 radiator heads with the Danfoss room sensor. 2 roomas have the Danfoss LC13 radiator head with the Secure room thermostat SRT321. I did et-up heating panels for al the 4 rooms and they work fine. Both type of room thermostat haven the posibility to adjust the tempratur in the room. Aswell the Danfoss room thermostat as the Secure thermostat this wont work. Any idea why? Thx,
  3. I've got a HC2, Nest and some Danfoss-valves, eventually I want a Multi-zoned Heating Systems. = Modulating through a Nest = Problem is I live in The Netherlands and out here usually have Modulating Central Heating Systems. So I can't just use The Heating Panel and keep my pipes heated or not according to the outside temperature. With the Modulating system, I need to control my Central Heating through for example a Nest. I am controlling the Nest through an API, with the help of @TW1979 in topic "https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/22466-nest-thermostat-v3-fibaro-plugin-not-updating-workaround-found" = LUA = I've read up on the Danfoss-radiator valves. (special thanks to: @tinman@Momos@hTiger1@petergebruers) * They're not that reliable. So before I start with the Multi-zone-LUA, here is my description of the LUA I'm gonna write for the one-room-system. Can someone tell me if this is gonna work? Global Variables: int Target_Temp_room1 Function:SCHEDULE Trigger : Time Action : Changes Target_Temp_room1 Function:EDIT Target_Temp_room1 WHEN THERMOSTAT IS CHANGED MANUALLY Trigger : Physical changes at Thermostat or manual changes in Fibaro GUI. Action : Change the Target_Temp_room1 accordingly Function:TURN ON CENTRAL HEATING (by turning on the Nest) Trigger : Target_Temp_room1 is changed PreExec : Check if I am home (if I'm Away do nothing) Action : check how much the Target_Temp_room1 is away from the FIBMOTION:current_temp_room1 (=Temp_Difference_room1) --> Set API:Nest_target to API:Nest_Current_Temp + Temp_Difference. Set the Thermostat to Target_Temp_room1 if it isn't already. Function:TURN OFF CENTRAL HEATING Trigger : Room Temperature has reached the Target_Temp Action : Set API:Nest_target to API:Nest_Current_Temp * https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/22592-danfoss-valves-and-room-sensor-winter-is-upon-us https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/21275-danfoss-lc-13-how-does-it-work http://www.vesternet.com/knowledgebase/technical/kb-7 https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/21899-danfoss-thermostat https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/22644-4100-danfos https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/19782-thermostat-danfoss-lc13-versus-devolo-thermostat https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/22981-nest-fibaro-z-wave-radiator-valves https://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/22466-nest-thermostat-v3-fibaro-plugin-not-updating-workaround-found
  4. Hi all,Has anyone done this?Fibaro HC2 + Nest + Z-Wave Danfoss Radiator Valves? Is the Fibaro able to control the temperatures in different rooms via the valves as well as then have the Nest functionality? In my flat I have 10 radiators flowing hot water for 10h a day. Heating is centralized the only thing I can do is open/close valves. Or would I be better adding a z-wave thermostat and z-wave valves in each room? Does nest being able to control each room then ?Any input valued
  6. Hi...I'm a newbie, having got my HC2 only a few months ago, but learning fast (or so I hope). One thing that I'm struggling with, though, is understanding how the Danfoss Living Connect LC-13 is working. This is the setup that I have: One room with 2 Danfoss valves and 1 Secure SRT321 Thermostat One room with 2 Danfoss valves and 1 Aeon Labs Multisensor 6 - Gen5 Two rooms with 1 Danfoss valve and 1 Fibaro FGMS-001 Motion Sensor Boiler controlled by a Secure SSR302 Boiler Receiver for heating and hot water I use the Heating Panel to control the temperature set-points for the valves and the thermostat. Then I use one scene to turn the boiler on and off, depending on whether any room needs heat, and another scene for switching on the hot water at predetermined times. Note that I don't use an association between the thermostat to the boiler receiver. What I'm finding is that if I set the temperature set-point of a Danfoss valve to 18C, and the temperature in the room is, let's say, 15C, then the valve is hardly opening and the radiator is only lukewarm. As a result, the room doesn't warm up, and the boiler stays on. If I set the valve to 23C, then it opens fully and the radiator gets hot. I would have expected that if the temperature in the room is less than the set-point, then the valve would open fully and let the hot water through until the temperature in the room reached the set-point, regardless of what value I set the set-point to. It seems as though the set-point is simply controlling how much the valve is opening. I'm thinking that I might have to change my boiler control scene to also control the set-points of the valves so that they deliver more heat when the room needs it. My concern with this, though, is that with a 15 minute Wake Up Interval, the devices won't be responsive enough. Am I doing something wrong? Dave
  7. I have four Danfoss thermostats connected to HC2. I have noticed that they are marked as dead from time to time. It is probably pointless. If they wake up every 15 minutes (wake up interval set to 900 sec.) and then communicate with HC2 to set up the temperature, report battery level etc. so is there a need of checking them by HC2 every 125 sec. (standard polling time)? I think this could be the reason why they are marked as dead. So shouldn't I just set "Mark if dead" to 'No'? If I will do this the HC2 will stop to polling them every 125 sec.? What is your opinion - maybe I don't understand this in a right way? Kind Regards
  8. Hi I would like to change the wake up interval for my danfoss valves but it seems HC2 don't take into account my new value !!! What's wrong with that ? Does someone try to change them ? Thanks
  9. Hi Fibaro - writes, For better work, please seen various settings of "Wake up interval" to the differential Danfoss: e.g. 900, 1050, 1200, 1350's, etc. But I can not change the Wake-up interval on my Danfoss thermostats, I could not in v. 4.063, but it did in earlier versions. Is there anyone out there who has the same problem?
  10. I've installed a lot of Danfoss valves, and setup zones a.o. One thing I don't understand is the 'timing' issues.. Seems that scheduled setting changes get delayed. I've set polling interval as recommended - but that as I understand is whow often HC2 polls the device. Also in advanced device setting there is as 'wake up interval' - which should then be how often the device checks in to HC2. So: What is purpose of the time dropdown on main devices view??? It's just belov temp setting dropdown. It defaults to '0' - but can be changed in 15 minute increments. .... Why?? Is this the cause for command delays??
  11. Hi I bought the HC2 and some Danfoss LC13 valves - hoping to get zoned heating. Realised that I need something to switch the boiler on and off - so got the [secure brand] wireless thermostat and receiver (boiler relay essentially) This is better - I can control the boiler via the thermostat - and I can also run a heating schedule to switch on the boiler at various times and bring the room to a certain temp. But it is only the room with the thermostat in which I control. So - at 9am the HC tells the boiler to switch on and make the room 19C for example. Great - but - what about the other rooms ? I had wanted to ensure that some rooms were warm in the morning, and others warm at bed time. It seems that the thermostat is controlling the boiler (which of course makes sense) - but am I missing something ? There seems to way to change the set point of the Danfoss LC13 valves - eg to have the kitchen warm in a morning, and the one in the bedroom to have a higher temp at night - if this were possible then I appreciate that the Secure thermostat ultimately rules boiler on / off, but I was happy to have that in a common area (say the hall) and then control other rooms within that 'heating time frame' Not sure if this makes sense - not sure I can see the point of the danfoss valves at the moment if I have to adjust them manually. Might as well go back to the manual TRV's I took off a month ago I can see something might be possible with LUA commands - if so, great. But I just want to check I am not missing something obvious ? thanks in advance Si
  14. Hi guys! I try to include the Danfoss Smartliving thermostat. It works so far but the symbol is not the right one and it is not possible to make any change in temperature or device options. Also on the thermostat LCD the antenna is still blinking signaling that there is no connection to the HC2. By pushing the middle button in the HC2 interface "device wake up" is showing. So there is some kind of a connection. There is also no device template. Are there several types of the Danfoss Smartliving thermostats? The HC2 has been upgraded to the 4.045 version before including the thermostats. I tried is with several devices. The problem is the same for all. The model I have is 01G0002. Hope to get some help here. Thanks Alex
