  1. Hi all, after a lot of time, finally I was able to complete a guide to send push notifications from HC2 when Power Outage occurs without using expensive tools or complicated configuration. You need only an android device that need to be always plugged in to the electricity. Hope this is useful, I'm available if you need more information regards, Leo Step-by-Step Guide for HC2 notification on Power Outage.pdf
  2. Hi, I have Fibaro HC2 and google home. I connected them together. Lights works fine, but i dont know how to control the blinds / curtains. I had a look at https://manuals.fibaro.com/knowledge-base-browse/gh-commands-list/ This does not cover anything for blind / curtain. Any pointers on how this can be controlled? Whatever i try Fibaro agent keep on asking "which device"? I tried "Switch On ...", Open <device> but none of them seem to work. Regards, Vijay
  3. Hi, I am looking for FIBARO compatible product to integrate with the Irrigation system. Irrigation system needs to start from scratch, 120 plants need to be watered automatically, also based on the climatic changes. Thanks Tabbrez
  4. Not able to receive or see the video feeds on the fibaro app, tried all the generic and onvif compatible settings but no success. please help with the settings.
  5. Anyone used these for more then temperature and door bell yet? The 1-wire techonolgy could be applied for more then temperature, so it should be possible in theory to have other input with 1-wire. I was looking for sound sensor for my Fibaro HC2 and came across the UBS. I am not good in programming, so need to find someone that have done projects and want to share. It would be great to have light sensor, sound, PIR and other trough the 1-wire. I also found some paper about someone having a thesis in medical engineering about simulation of 1-wire sensors. The aim of this project is to program the microprocessor (Arduino) by using Arduino programming language to work as a temperature sensor type DS18B20 and also as a slave on the 1-Wire bus system. If you could get an Arduino to simulate 1-wire then the potensial could be huge in implementing things to the Fibaro.
  6. Hello I have sett up a Netatmo Weather station and have it working on the standard IOS app. Now i want to connect it to my hc2. I have sett up the plugin and inserted the username and password. Clicking "Get Device" does nothing and the the General tab still says invalid username or password. There is no other error messages. Anyone familiar with this problem?
  7. Hello Everyone. I have what I consider a pretty typical setup. A nest and FIbaro lights and smokes. Pretty basic 10 circuits, nothing special happening here. While I think the Fibaro app is pretty decent, I wanted something I little more focused and polished for me. So, I have built a Android and IOS app which is modelled on the look and feel of the Savant app: https://www.savant.com/product/savant-app The app is fully working, just need a visual improvement - but it looks decent already. Its a side project - so dev will happen when i have time. I never planned on realising this in the wild, but a few people who have seen it love it - so thinking about submitting to relevant stores. Its boring features are: - Picks up weather and such like - Pick up NEST information (via Fibaro home centre or home centre lite) - Get all relevant devices from the system - Allows you to input your IP / user / pass (and saves) to allow connectivity to the home centre / lite (can use dyndns for those not on static IPs at home) - Runs via HTTP - so will work inside and outside the home. (use local IP on the internal only devices) The more interesting features are: - Allows you to (So much easier than Fibaro) create scenes on the app - in a lovely interface. - Will sync all settings of the scenes with either the Fibaro box, or Dropbox (or similar) - Might make it control the Nest also and other device types which fit within the focus of the app & alerts - Keeps the device alive if desired (prevent screen off) What im looking to do: - Get some flush wall mounts of ipad Minis / Andriod tabs made up (using 3D printers to keep costs low) - Have these as wall mounted control centres - keep the cost very low. - Allow people to re-use these old devices - rather than capture dust in a draw. Is there much appetite for such stuff in this community? If so ill look to finish it up and develop. Ill probably put it up as a paid app, mainly to cover costs and support / continious development. I will stress this is not a replacement for the Fibaro app - its just more focused and beautiful.
  8. I've been doing a bit of reading on what was reported in march and mentioned by some users on this forum about a product between qnap and fibaro and it's got me thinking and very interested/excited ... Much of the hardware that many hubs are built on are really nothing special and most also run some linux distribution the core. As a result they are very much a commodity product. We have also seen the migration of CCTV / dvr systems to NAS devices (synology surveillance center) . Many NAS can now act as a router /modem/dhcp server/webservers with the addition of simpie dongles. We have also seen many HA solutions that run on on a PI, etc and some even on NAS, so it's not surprising fibaro are moving in this direction as well. It also allows them to expand beyond zwave into something like zigbee as it just requires a second dongle. This would be a very god move as systems that span multiple wireless platform offer the end user many more devices to interact with. Migrating their HA platform to a NAS also gives them access to what is stored on the NAS, music, movies, security footage as well as proving almost end diskspace to store data on. A NAS based solution would also offer the ability to mirror the HA platform or create a master /slave setup in the case of a disk/platform failure. You could even store previous running versions that could be switched in and out more easily (as opposed to a back/up restore solution). It would also be a easy way to resolve the much maligned backup/recovery solution currently employed by the HC2. Finally it would also open the possibility to run external bridges such as the HA bridge or sonos-http-api on all the same hardware with the benefits this would bring, through the use of node.js and perhaps even docker. There was references made to two qnap devices but nether come cheap TDS-16489U, (enterprise level ) - https://www.qnap.com/en/product/model.php?II=209 - approx 8k euro TS-453Bmini.(consumer level) - https://www.qnap.com/en/product/model.php?II=262 - approx 500 euro (with no drives), similar price to HC2 links to some articles if you're interested in reading Consumer IT - http://www.consumerit.eu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3357:fibaro-teams-up-with-qnap&catid=25&Itemid=100021 Inside CI - http://www.insideci.co.uk/news/fibaro-partners-with-qnap-for-smart-home-solutions.aspx QNAP - https://qiot.qnap.com/blog/en/2017/03/23/qnap-starts-cooperation-fibaro-providing-feature-packed-hub-smart-home-systems/ Prowly - https://prowly.com/14228-fibaro-begins-cooperation-with-qnap Short Video - This move may very well be the start of fibaro moving away from proprietary hardware completely. It could also see the rise of the once humble NAS being elevated to the much talked about (but never fully realised) multipurpose home hub. It will be very interested in seeing how far fibaro will take the many integration possibilities and opportunities. Looking forward to it being released and seeing its capbilities _f
  10. Hello, I have purchased an aeotec Siren, gen5, https://aeotec.com/z-wave-siren. After some difficulty i managed to pair it with my fibaro hc-lite. For those who need help with that, it wouldnt get detected and i had to try a few times, after holding down the button for over 30seconds, the light stayed on and for a few seconds (probably did some sort of factory reset), then i clicked the button again and it paired quickly. However, it paired as a switch, on and off. Does not allow me to have special settings ect. Under the advanced settings there are some things you can do with the siren, like change the tone or the sounds level ect, howevere would be nice if you could change the tones based on certain scenes? Has anyone figured that part out? Thanks,
  11. Hello guys, I ran into interesting problem. Honestly i do not know if problem is in Fibaro or Global Cache, so i need some help. Ticket in partners dedicated channel: #95470. I'm doing VD for a customer (Fibaro dealer) for control of Somfy RTS module (VD is below). But i'm able to receive only 8 comands, then it seems like connection get stucked. If i send commands from iTest (global cache app), that i am not a problem to receive more than 8 commands. If i send commands from Fibaro to PC directly (Hercules app can be set as TCP server), then i'm able receive more than 8 commands (Same port and protocol, just diffrent IP adress). I'm sending those serial commands (RS-232/RS-485) to my Laptop to application Hercules (Link below). Global Cache i'm using is iTach Flex IP. Cables connected are Flex Link RS-232 cable and Flex Link RS-485 cable. I tested it with both. As RS-485 to USB converter i'm using something like that: http://www.rockonpro.pl/monacor-da-70157 or this one (rs-232) http://www.aten.com/global/en/products/usb-&-thunderbolt/usb-converters/uc232a/#.WWNf3ulpzg4 @T.Konopka or @M.Baranowski, can you look at this one please? 12. my new fibaro relay is not adding to my fibaro system does anyone know if there is a propel with them
  13. It is possible to add Fibaro RGBW module to irrigation panel for controlling 4 12V valves ?
  14. Hello, I would like to control the QNAP disk storage via HC2. QNAP I use to play movies on TV, so it does not make sense to run when no one is at home. I could turn it off with a socket, but it would not prove to be a HDD. In a FIBARO is a module "WakeOnLan". Did you set it up in collaboration with QNAP? Turning on after coming home and turning off after leaving? Thanks!
  15. Hi, Is it possible to control Philips Hue with the Swipe? If so how can I fix this? Marlon
  16. Hi I didn't see any more news coverage on this. Anybody know the latest state ? Thanks
  18. Hey guys, I thought it would be a nice idea to share some of the new scenes which people are using. This way it could potentially give people inspiration on what the system can do while also helping people with similar scenes to perfect them of use them in a more efficient way. So I suppose I will start... Today I have put together a lighting scene, it took quite a while because it's two scenes per room. I started by adding 3 variables called time: Day, Dusk & Night. I have set a scene to trigger the variable depending on the time, so Daytime starts at 8am, Dusk becomes active at dusk (set by Fibaro's time clock) and finally night becomes active at 10pm. The break down is: Day - No lights Dusk - Lights at 100% brightness Night - Lights at 10% brightness I have attached the block scenes below. I can't wait to see what you have all been up to with your HC.

  20. Hello to all, I'm trying to integrate a weather sensor with 0-10v analog Output to my HC2 using the Inputs of the RGBW module. While doing that I'm getting no correct voltage measurements. While measuring GND and IN1 or IN2 connected, I’m getting constant about 5V DC. While measuring GND in the Cable from windsensor (not connected to IN1) I get reliable results from 0-10V. Same with Light Sensor. As today was a very sunny day, it was the first time I could measure at the light sensor 5,4V on the RGBW and the cable. It seems to me, that if the sensor's Output is more than 5v I get reliable results in the HC2. What is it, what I’m doing wrong in this case? I’m desperate at the moment and hope for you help...
  22. Dear people, I have a little puzzle... We have Sonos, Hue and fibaro devices and a very irregular live. Our routine for waking up is setting seperate timers for Sonos (actual wake up time), Hue (starts 10 minutes before actual waking time) and our thermostate (danfoss via Fibaro, starts 45 minutes before actual waking time) via the native apps. We have multiple routines / scenes (per device) which we can activate to do so. For Fibaro I have multiple scenes to set a global variabele for the thermostate time and multiple scenes to actually set the temperature (depending global variabele and time). Any suggestions how I should combine everything so I only have to acitivate1 routine? General direction would be great! I presume fibaro should be in the lead... Thans for you help! Kind regards, Roland
  23. I need help making a Virtual device work what this is, is a virtual device it has a button which I want to turn on device 61 however when I click the button its not working at all. I have this in the LUA: local http = Net.FHttp("w******@hotmail.com:F*******[email protected]", 80); local response = http:GET("/api/callAction?deviceID=61&name=turnOn"); local http = Net.FHttp("w******@hotmail.com:F*******[email protected]", 80); local response = http:POST("/api/callAction?deviceID=61&name=turnOn"); I have tried these two and all I want to do is on device 61 which works if I type this link in internet explorer, so I know the link works fine: http://w******@hotmail.com:F*******[email protected]/api/callAction?deviceID=61&name=turnOn I just want it so if I click one of the buttons in the virtual device it turns on the device (61) thanks.
  24. Has anyone some experience with powerring battery operated devices? there are many step down converters in the market converting 5V DC (USB charger) to 3,3V DC - suitable for different battery operated Fibaro modules. Has Anyone tried this? Although after this modification the device will be still recognised by HC2/HCL as battery powerred, it can be a solution in some situations where powerline is present and we can then forget about checking batteries
  25. Will time Scheduling works even after the home center 2 or home center lite gets damaged ?
