  1. I am new with Fibaro, but worked earlier with Popp controler. I want to switch on and off the alarm of the camera by a http command (http://IPcamera/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=setMotionDetectConfig&isEnable=0&usr=xxx&pw=yyy). What is the best way to do it? Please provide details (I really don't know much about programming in LUA). Thanks for your help!
  2. Hi all, I would like to share a 100% working solution for HC2 / HCL users that want to use new IP cameras working with RTSP, H.264. Problem: as you know Fibaro doesn't respect too much users demands. Fibaro only supports old IP cameras working with old streaming methods like MJPEG, using basic authentification... This is very bad, because it forces us to use old and unsecure technology. The best solution is that Fibaro supports newer protocols, RSTP, H.264, SSL authentication... But as you know, taking care of users is not the main Fibaro interest. Workaround solution: using an old Android phone (or tablet) as a webserver proxy using tinyCam Monitor PRO awesome app (3,5 EUR cost). The main idea is that tinyCam Monitor PRO connects to your cameras, serving at real-time MJPEG streams that Fibaro can watch perfectly fine Yes, it sounds too naif but for me, it toke me years in order to find this solution... In my example we will use Foscam C1 Tinycam Monitor Pro Configuration: Install tinyCam Monitor PRO on your old Android phone on the same network than your HC2 / HCL and make sure your phone is working 24/7 like your cameras do. Config your camera as usual Go to tinyCam Monitor PRO / menú / Settings / Web Server at set strong admin password and choose a port (I use, the default port 8083). Go to tinyCam Monitor PRO / menú / Enable Web server and check message: "webserver is running at http://192.168.1.10:8083" Test it on your computer browser, Google Chrome as example and login with your admin / password of step 3. You will be able to see a welcome screen with some information. I recommend that you Enable "Background mode" and "Power safe mode". In my case I have 2 x RSTP H.264 IP camera and is using about 30% CPU (2014 Android phone). Fibaro HC2 Configuration: Add new IP Camera, Choose as a model Axis Generic and go to Advanced tab You should take care of user, password, IP including port (the same that you setup at tinyCam Monitor PRO Webserver) JPG path: axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?camera=1 MJPG path: axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?camera=1 Check [ JPG ] 3 s. and Show it on main screen and [ v ] Send STOP If you have more than one camera, you need to add another IP Camera on Fibaro with exact configuration, but you should change in JPG and MJPG paths, camera=2, camera=3... and so on That's all! I hope you like it and it helps you
  3. Does anyone have experience with Foscam on HC3? I do not get a picture in preview. I connect to an external ip. Do I have to use https and install SSL certificate? I did not find the model I have so I had to use "other" I have to use MJPG streaming and use this path http://USR:[email protected]:IP/video.cgi
  4. Hello, I want to install my Foscam FI9902P camera to my HC3. - Add IP camera is OK but in the Foscam list I find "other" or "FI8904W". I tried both. - I serached the IP and added ( just IP ) - I also added to the jpg stream path /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD ( User & password is the same what I use for connect. This line was OK in my HC2 ) - No any picture if I test it. Can you help me what can be wrong ? See pictures No picture
  5. All new Foscam HD devices (type Cx,Rx,FI99xx) have a new firmware in which two video streams are configured with default settings that can NOT be changed in the user interface of the camera. However, with a small workaround you can make them work in the Fibaro HC2 interface. I've not been able to test but normally the procedure described below should work with Fibaro HCL too (=> any feedback is welcome). The solutions described below also works for 'older' HD models (98xxx series) with latest firmware. * Stream 1 = Main Stream = HD 1) HD Mode (does not work with Fibaro) 2) Equilibrium mode (does not work with Fibaro) 3) Smooth mode (does not work with Fibaro) 4) User-defined (does not work with Fibaro) * Stream 2 = Sub Stream 1) HD Mode (does not work with Fibaro) 2) Equilibrium mode (does not work with Fibaro) 3) Smooth mode: does work with Fibaro 4) User-defined (does not work with Fibaro) Solution: Step 0: only for 'older' HD cams (98xxx series): update firmware Using Safari, Google Chrome (I've not tested with other browsers) Step 1: verify the stream settings for the sub stream: http://<ipFoscam>:88/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=getSubVideoStreamType&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> default (factory setting) result should be: <CGI_Result> <result>0</result> <streamType>0</streamType> </CGI_Result> Step 2: set the sub stream to smooth mode: http://<ipFoscam>:88/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=setSubVideoStreamType&format=2usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> following result means that the new setting succeeded <CGI_Result> <result>0</result> </CGI_Result> Step 3: reboot Foscam (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!) Step 4: check if sub stream type has been set to "2": http://<ipFoscam>:88/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=getSubVideoStreamType&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> following result means that new parameter has been set in the Foscam config <CGI_Result> <result>0</result> <streamType>2</streamType> </CGI_Result> Step 5: create new camera device in the Fibaro admin interface with following parameters: - camera model: "Foscam" - user name: leave blank - password: leave blank - ip address: <ipFoscam>:88 - jpg path: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> - mjpg path: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> - turn left url: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveLeft&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> - turn right url: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveRight&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> - move up url: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveUp&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> - move down url: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveDown&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> - stop camera movement url: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzStopRun&usr=<youradminusername>&pwd=<youradminpassword> - Send STOP after movement - JPG - Refresh time: 10 seconds works fine for me - MJPG: leave blank For info: in most browsers the image of your cam will disappear in the Fibaro HC2 admin interface after the time set in the "refresh time" parameter. However, no worry. In your iPhone, iPad, Android app you will have a continuous mjpg stream. Good luck!
  6. Hi, My webcam foscam works well trough my browser Firefox (Foscam Soft and Fibaro interface). On my Iphone with Fibaro soft, I don't watch any video. BUT it works when my Iphone is not connected to my lan (in 4G mode). Very strange ... Do you have an idea how to fix this little problem ? So, I didn't succeed in fixing my problem with my Iphone, Ipad or Ipad mini. 1 - When I'm connected on the wifi, I have no video. 2 - When I'm connected on the 4G network, It works ! Any idea ?
  7. IP camera support on Fibaro is about to become history. I love my HC2 but unless Fibaro implement simple "digest authentication" for IP cameras, support is about to die off. Here's why: Recent vulnerabilities have forced some IP camera manufacturers to REMOVE basic authentication. Fibaro ONLY supports basic authentication. Digest authentication has been around since the 90's and is one step above basic or "plain text" authentication (visible in packet captures). It is becoming more difficult to upgrade or buy new cameras that support basic authentication. Dahua - Since early 2017, basic authentication is now disabled in Dahua firmware. - In 2016, Dahua started signing its firmware which stops downgrades to unsigned versions. - So there's no solution once you have newer firmware installed. Not to mention the lack of support for RTSP, with MJPEG becoming obsolete. Digest auth is needed just to keep existing functionality. Beware of upgrading your IP cameras!
  8. Hi, i got several foscam. Since there are problems retrieving a mjpg from newer models, i like to have picture refreshing every 5 sec. There is an option in HC2 to do so.. But when I use it, I only get the FAIL-Picture. If I use the snappicture cgi-command with the mjpg-option an show MJPG on the main-page it works fine, but there is no refresh option. Copying the same command to JPG-URL option- it won't work. So ist must be an HC2 -problem? Any experience with that? Thanks Gerhard
  9. I am trying to connect Foscam "FI9826P V2" and "R4" cameras to my HC2s. I have read the other community support articles and also tried to obtain other Information from the internet. Although I followed all guidelines (switch cameras to MJPG etc.), I do not have any major breakthrough. I have installed the cameras in HC2 and using the command "/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=admin&pwd=PASSWORD", a snapshot is shown in HC2. As soon as HC2 starts to using the video stream after 3 seconds by sending "/cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=admin&pwd=PASSWORD", the picture gets dark with a little Symbol, which I assume is the Foscam error message. Any idea, how I could fix that issue or how I could further investigate. Thanks.
  10. My Foscam FI9816P works fine exept with HC2. Foscam App is ok, even browsing stream with Lumina 950 windows 10 mobile explorer. Also chrome with cgi commands shows picture and mjpeg stream. Except HC2 shows no picture and no stream. It seem to update every 3 sec but there is no picture only an icon (see attachement). I tryed both the Plugin and the Foscam Camera inclusion (which suggests the old command for 89xx) Any idea to solve the problem? Thanx Gerhard
  11. Hi All, I am wondering if and how anyone got's the foscam 9826P to work in Fibaro HC2? Followed many links with suggestions to put the secondary stream of the foscam in stream mode 1 or 2 http://ipaddress:port/cgibin/CGIProxy.fcgi?usr=admin&pwd=xxx&cmd=setSubStreamFormat&format=1 But I got a -2 result when using this. tried this topic: http://forum.fibaro.com/index.php?/topic/19460-tutorial-for-new-foscam-hd-type-crfi99-and-older-fi98xx-models-with-latest-firmware/but no results. Ss a bit of a crap semi solution I used the JPG string cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=whatsmyname&pwd=verysecret This gives an image in the ios app, but only when connected to the same wifi network as the foscam camera is (or with VPN connectivity from outside the house, but this is not great). My concerns and hope for some advise: 1. Does anyone got streaming video from the foscam 9826P into the fibaro app (IOS & Chrome) and how? (firmware, settings, etc). 2. Is it possible to get video and streaming video from outside the wifi network with the IOS app? What alternative cameras are available for this purpose with native and good fibaro support (and motion, nightvision somewhat the same features as the foscam 9826P camera). The foscam app does work on IOS and I got good results, only the fibaro integration doesn't work. help is much appriciated
  12. I would like my Foscam Ip Cam to move(PTZ) to a specific position when a Scene is triggered. Eg Smoke Scene. Foscam move from TV Room to Kitchen to take snapshot/record. I have a HCL V3.601 and Foscam is already setup to work with HCL. Any advice appreciated
