  1. Hi, is there a way to move all config from one HC2 to an other HC2? I also have a HCL, is it possible to move all config from a HC2 to a HCL and the other way around? Stupid questions perhaps, but I do have 2 HC2's and one HCL and would like to move these around in my different houses. Thanks Tony Levis Sweden
  2. When do I use the following code in lua:? tcpSocket:disconnect(); i some sample code it has been added to the sample in others not. example: -- Volume 40dB -- tcpSocket:write("MV40".."\r") fibaro:sleep(500); result, err = tcpSocket:read(); tcpSocket:disconnect(); if (err == 0) then fibaro:log("transfer OK"); fibaro:debug("transfer OK"); else fibaro:log("transfer failed"); fibaro:debug("transfer failed"); end ------------------------------------ -- HERE its not been used -- tcpSocket:write(string.char(0x53, 0x49, 0x49, 0x52, 0x41, 0x44, 0x49, 0x4f, 0x0d)); fibaro:sleep(1000); result, err = tcpSocket:read(); if (err == 0) then fibaro:log("Transfer OK: Internet Radio"); else fibaro:log("Transfer failed: extra check"); -- check source: needs 2 times... otherwise still failed... tcpSocket:write(string.char(0x53, 0x49, 0x3f, 0x0d)); fibaro:sleep(500); result, err = tcpSocket:read(); tcpSocket:write(string.char(0x53, 0x49, 0x3f, 0x0d)); fibaro:sleep(500); result, err = tcpSocket:read(); if (err == 0) then if ( trim(string.sub(result, 1, string.len(result)-9)) == 'SIIRADIO' ) then fibaro:log("Transfer OK: Internet Radio"); else fibaro:log("Transfer failed"); end else fibaro:log("Transfer failed"); end end
  3. Hi community, Perhaps you can help me understand how (if) to connect two houses that each has a HC2 and have them connected to my Google Home Mini for voice control. Setup I have two houses, in each house I have a HC2 that are linked to my Fibaro Cloud account. I can access them both remotely and everything is working fine through the app on my phone and as well as from computers. In each house I also have a Google Home Mini, that are configured to talk Swedish AND English. I live in Sweden should I say as well. Problem I've managed to link my Fibaro account to the Google Home app on my phone but only the devices in ONE of the houses are SEEN and can be controlled trough Google Home or Assistant. I've done multiple unlinking and re-linking as well. Both HC2's are on 4.510 I can switch to English and say "talk to Fibaro" and it lists both devices and I can control them from there. But through the Google Interface only the devices in one of the houses are seen - if you follow me here Any guidance or ideas to test would be highly appreciated! Have a good Saturday out there!
  4. hello i have 2 yale conexis L1 locks and the z-wave module to go with it. Back in June the modules included into my system with no issues whatsoever and i can now use fibaro to lock and unlock the doors and in scenes etc. However my sister decided to get this lock aswell and we tried to include the module but it is not including at all!!! the firmware version was 4.134 beta and i updated to 4.136 beta and still i get the same response, no inclusion at all. the timer on the fibaro just times out... i have tried to include using the 'LOCK' include and also tried to include in the usual 'ADD DEVICES' method and checking the box to add in secure mode and no response. does anyone else experience this issue? My system is currently on 4.134 and the modules are still working properly. thanks
  5. Can someone help me. I have been thinking about how the logic would work and cannot come up with the correct Lua code to make this work correctly. Goal: want the door to unlock when I arrive at home and lock when I leave and send a message (push, email etc..) every time. but if I am home/not home I don't want it to keep locking/unlocking and sending me a message *I already have fibaro looking for my phone to see if I'm present. a global variable keeps a number count present =1 not present = 0 so the logic I came up with is like this: Check Present=0 then lock door and send message check present =0 (still not at home) do nothing check present = 1 unlock door and send message check present = 1 (still at home) do nothing etc... let me know if you have questions or suggestions.

I lost my login ID for HC2

Hi, Recently My HC2 went into recovery mode, but unfortunately when i tried to log in again into it, it happens that i forgot the login id, if there is anyway or someone who can help i can talk to please let me know. Thanks in advance.
  7. I get the following JSON string from my device in a browser by typing the IP of my device: {"data":{ "id":"8200007A","type":"8","detector":"SI29BG","voltage":382,"cpm":14,"temperature":9.45,"humidity":48.29,"pressure":100281,"voc":12800000,"co2":399,"noise":39,"ch2o":0.00,"pm25":3,"uptime": 107787}} is it possible to import these values into a virtual device in HC2? The closest I have found is: local urad = Net.FHttp("192.168.8.106/j") local urad = Net.FHttp("{{192.168.8.106/j}}",80) local urad = assert(io.popen('curl http://192.168.8.106/j')) but these will not get the json string This is a part question for my thread:
  8. My HC2 was running fine for serveral weeks on ver. 5.10. Yesterday I noticed, that I I can'nt connect using my Phone. I checked from my PC - same behavior. Internal Error! I than switched off the HC2 using the button at the back. Wait for a minute and switched it back on. Now I getting "Starting Services". I left it now for couple of hours. No change! I did switch it off and on aggain, but the HC2 is not accessable anymore. I did not made any changes to the HC2, I also did not add any devicves. What can I do to gain access and control again. It's quite urgent thx & regards Rolf

Camera small ok large not ok.

Has anyone experienced / overcome the following ? My overview pictures don't work, but if I click a camera button the camera works fine, ( click the camera number button ) in realtime, and all is well, then when I rotate the phone to get full screen, I get a "No Video" and black screen. Going back to the overview I generally have to refresh network to get the smaller view showing again. The cameras seem to work fine otherwise, I can even pinch in in the overview screen. HikVision Turret and Cube cameras all exhibit the same behaviour. Any thoughts on where to start ? Cheers, al.

    Incompatible backup notification

Hi there, My hc2 keeps on reminding me that the backups that i have made so far are incompatible and that I have to make new ones. But in the backup screen is says that the backups that I made so far are compatible. Is it a bug, and/or do more people experience this? Let me know. hc2.pdf
  11. Hi, my google home fibaro dude ( weird having a different voice ) keeps finding my hc2 with the correct serial number then when I select the number one for the device he finds he tells me “I wasn’t able to select home centre” .. so I’m not sure how to disentangle him from my google to resend the setup link and I’m so close its more frustrating than when I was using IFTTT !! Pretty fast responses too! Anyone know where / how to view connections in both directions so I can clear them and try starting again ? I’m on 4.153b and wonder if that has anything to do with it ? Cheers, al

    Integrated Alarm Suggestion

Hi, My alarm system has finally died , for good this time, the panel was always a little dodgey, but now it's burnt beyond what I can be bothered trying to fix .. Anyway, I'd like to replace the complete alarm system with something I can integrate to a greater or lesser extent with the HC2. I remember someone posting something about a plug in board called .. envision .. i think ? and it might have been a plug in for DAS alarms ? But I can't find anything on that when I search so I've probably got the name wrong. I don't mind running wires, Actually prefer it for an alarm system, and I don't really mind what sort of cost there is if it ticks the right boxes. Although it's not essential, Ideally I'd like to have some secured integration also with gate and door control and also cameras all in one... but that wish list may have just put me into a fixed wired C-Bus or Control-4 system I expect. Does anyone have anything remotely like this that I can start researching ? It's difficult to know where to start as the suppliers of most of the alarm systems around here seem to have little idea about integration. Or to put it another way, what home alarm system do you have and how have you integrated it with your Fibaro system ? Cheers in advance, al.

    HC2 - Dashboard - HEating

Hi people, who knows about things, I'm quite new in HC2 so might this is reason but I don't understand the logic of dashboard. I have home with 10+ rooms, regulated heating with temp-switch pairs (smoke detector + smart plug or single relay = connected device) and 2 bath-ruums with "real termostates". To monitor overview of climate system I find that Dashboard - Climate - Heating is good for overview but - only my batchrooms appear there. All rest isn't here visible. On mobiile app - all "heated" rooms (together 13 rooms) all are listed on climate view. My question - why heated rooms aren't listed on Dashboard? With bests Henn Sarv

    HC2 sharing with other FibaroID

Hi Fibaro staff and users, I've in problem with HC2-FibaroID and user authentication for remote acces I haven't find the place where share access to HC2 to second (and third, etc…) FibaroID to allow remote access to my family members. Current I find only following ways 1. share full access to my FibaroID (name and password) with instructuon how to connect through this - not best way, becouse I don't like to give full access to all mu houses 2. direct HTTP flow through my firewall and ask them to access directly - extremly unsecure way becouse lack of HTTPS Could You give some hint, how to behaive or could you point me the right option or (on case lack of this) plan in future developments add that kind of functionality With bests Henn

Device inventory scene Hello everybody, this is a simple scene that shows you all the objects in the HC2 and their number, no matter if zwave devices, users, virtual devices and so on. See the attached screenshot. The script does not need an autostart or other triggers, rather it is meant to be executed ad hoc. In any case, it is no longer necessary to count the devices by hand in the future.
  17. Hi to you all! Maybe you know that I'm a critical HC2 user since 2013. In short, as I mention here I was feeling the Fibaro was holding me back in possibilities, privacy and security. So I started to investigate to get more control over what I think was important to me. I said I would abandon the HC2. The good news, I will not (for now). After extensive testing and trying to find a proper configuration, I found a way to implement the HC2, demanding my needs and wishes concerning: Security Privacy Possibilities Time to spend (re-configuring 200+ devices, 50 scenes and 30 Virtual Devices) The solution I'm implementing is a Raspberry Pi 3 with Node-Red for all communications from the HC2. In short, this means using the HC2 solely as a Z-wave controller and automation gateway. Setup: - The Node-Red will receive commands from the HC2 by an encrypted (https) and password protected connection. At this point it's still one way by sending from the HC2 to Node-Red. - The HC2 is (will be) blocked from internet access. Internet access to the HC2 will be done by VPN. - All other domotica devices are on a separate subnet (VLAN). - All messages (email/push/Telegram) is processed by Node-Red. (disabling all Fibaro 'services'). Example: An alarm is breached: - HC2 will send a message by https to Node-Red. - Node-Red sends IP-Camera snapshots to own email-server, push-account or private Telegram-bot. - Node-Red will check my Ubiquiti manage-switch to check if someone is at home (Mobile phone present in LAN) at will send result to push or Telegram. For sending data to Node-Red a scene is used with content of 5 Global Variable, triggered by one: SC_Nred_VarName (Name variable to send. used as trigger, must be written as last) SC_Nred_VarVal (Value to send) SC_Nred_VarType (not used yet, could be used for sending the type of value, like string, date, time etc.) SC_Nred_VarLog (data for storing data in Node-Red logfiles) SC_Nred_VarPath (path to the Node-Red http-receive-node, default /hc2) The scene code (Beta code 20170526): --[[ %% properties %% events %% globals SC_Nred_VarName --]] -- -- Initialisation of user settings (change if necessary) -- -- Global variables (has to be added manually in HC2 variables panel) local globVarName = 'SC_Nred_VarName'; -- Name of global variable to send (trigger!) local globVarValue = 'SC_Nred_VarVal'; -- Value of global variable to send local globVarType = 'SC_Nred_VarType'; -- Type of global variable to send local globVarLog = 'SC_Nred_VarLog'; -- Logmessage to send local globVarPath = 'SC_Nred_VarPath'; -- Node-Red http-node path to interact with -- Node-Red server connections credentials local nredIp = '192.168.x.x'; -- Node-RED server IP-address local nredPort = 1880; -- Node-Red server port number local nredUser = 'HC2'; -- Node-Red user used to change variables local nredPass = 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX'; -- Node-Red password of used user -- Node-Red server credentials options: true = Enable, false = Disable local nredUseLogin = false; -- TODO!! Can`t find HC2 after put in recovery.

Hello! We recived a broken HC2 at the office. Reporting that an end-user can`t connect to the HC2. Can`t find the HC2 with Fibaro finder nor using Advanced IP Scanner (looking for a mac adress) I have tried using the backup IP adress: 192.168.81.1, adjustig my computer to 192.186.81.x. Still cant find it with Fibaro Finder / Advanced IP Scanner. Tried regular boot multiple times with and without Recovery Stick plugged in. When I did regular boot. ONLY the power LED was lit up. And yes, I know the ethernet port I used has a direct connection to my computer. (As i use it on a daily basis.) Any suggestions on this? Is there some sort of "Quick fix"? Or do Fibaro need to take a look at this. Thanks! Best regards Hans

    Domoticz in combination with HC2

Hi, I was searching on the forum about 2-way communication between Domoticz and HC2 (or HCL). What is my situation? At the moment I am running Domoticz with Fibaro modules and I am considering to move to Fibaro, however I want to keep my LUA scripts in Domoticz for the time being. The idea is to exclude all devices in Domoticz and move them to HC2 (or HCL) and keep the scripting running on Domoticz, so I am looking for a way to get variables from Fibaro to Domoticz for the LUA scripts. Furthermore if a variable from Fibaro triggers something in the LUA script in domoticz I want to sent a command back to Fibaro from domoticz. Is that possible? It is an in between solution so that my HA can keep on running. Thx already. Rik
  20. Hi. Yesterday I made a backup of my HC2 (version 4.180), which I do from time to time (usually without problems). After the backup it restarted, and then 36 of my devices were "not configured"! A lot of devices that I had hidden in the user interface, reappeared. The unconfigured devices are impossible to configure. They just have a status of "reconfiguring", and that's all, for many hours. The devices don't work, of course. If I try to, say, adjust i light dimmer, it says "configuring" and then nothing else. No response from Fibaro support either. I tried to restore a backup. No change. Please, wise forum, help! Helge
  21. Just bought the siren from Aeotec, and tried playing around with it yesterday. If I add the device with "Add in security mode if device supports it" it has trouble reading parameters, and if I press on the sirene does not react. However, if I add it without selecting secure mode, the sirene works as expected and I can change parameters and turn it on and off as I like. Another weird thing I see: when I include the sirene, it defaulted to being on. Weird behaviour, but I believe this is a problem with Aeotec. Have anyone else seen this problem where secure mode doesn't work? HC2 version 4.120
  22. Hi, I´m writing a couple of VERY SIMPLE LUA Scenes that I have linked to Double Click action of a double switch 2. The scene often works fine, but sometimes, some the turnon or turnoff actions are not executed. (by instance, instead of turning off the 3 lights, only 2 are turnned off, or maybe the vent turnon fails...) Also tried added sleep between commands but the result is the same. Any idea? This is quite frustrating... When I run the scen from the debuger interface, it seems that it works properly... As stated, the code is very simple: (Turn off lights, turn on vent, wait 7 minutes and turn off vent (except if the light were turned on again while the vent is on) fibaro:call(88, "turnOff"); --light off 1 fibaro:sleep(100); fibaro:call(93, "turnOff"); --light off 2 fibaro:sleep(100); fibaro:call(94, "turnOff"); --light off 3 fibaro:sleep(100); fibaro:call(89, "turnOn"); --this is the vent fibaro:sleep(420000); -- wait 7 minutes local bathLightStatus = 0; bathLightStatus = bathLightStatus + fibaro:getValue(88, 'value'); bathLightStatus = bathLightStatus + fibaro:getValue(93, 'value'); bathLightStatus = bathLightStatus + fibaro:getValue(94, 'value'); -- fibaro:debug('Number of bath lights on: ' .. bathLightStatus); if ( bathLightStatus == 0) then -- fanStatus = fibaro:getValue(89, 'value'); -- fibaro:debug('Fan Status ' .. fanStatus); fibaro:call(89, "turnOff"); -- fibaro:sleep(1000); -- fanStatus = fibaro:getValue(89, 'value'); -- fibaro:debug('Fan Status after off ' .. fanStatus); end

Virtual device for control of Daikin air conditioners with the SKYFi addon. (untested)
  24. Hello guys, I ran into interesting problem. Honestly i do not know if problem is in Fibaro or Global Cache, so i need some help. Ticket in partners dedicated channel: #95470. I'm doing VD for a customer (Fibaro dealer) for control of Somfy RTS module (VD is below). But i'm able to receive only 8 comands, then it seems like connection get stucked. If i send commands from iTest (global cache app), that i am not a problem to receive more than 8 commands. If i send commands from Fibaro to PC directly (Hercules app can be set as TCP server), then i'm able receive more than 8 commands (Same port and protocol, just diffrent IP adress). I'm sending those serial commands (RS-232/RS-485) to my Laptop to application Hercules (Link below). Global Cache i'm using is iTach Flex IP. Cables connected are Flex Link RS-232 cable and Flex Link RS-485 cable. I tested it with both. As RS-485 to USB converter i'm using something like that: http://www.rockonpro.pl/monacor-da-70157 or this one (rs-232) http://www.aten.com/global/en/products/usb-&-thunderbolt/usb-converters/uc232a/#.WWNf3ulpzg4 @T.Konopka or @M.Baranowski, can you look at this one please? HC2 Zwave Frequency

Hi I purchased an HC2 and accessories from the UK and have been running a system for 2 years in Hong Kong where the power plugs are the same as the UK. I am about to relocate to New Zealand where the Zwave band is different. Can a user change the Zwave band of a HC2 unit or is the Zwave chipset different for each Zwave region? If it cannot be changed in the field, I will sell all my UK Kit and start again! thanks Darren Breeze
