  2. Using code from other posts I am trying to invoke an external URL: for the time being I'm interacting with a simple RequestBin that is working perfectly fine. The following code is always returning 400 in the success and never reaches the endpoint. function call(url) net.HTTPClient():request(url, { options={ method = 'GET', }, success = function(response) print(response.status) print(response.data) end, error = function(message) print("error:", message) end }) end call("https://someurl.net?heater=0&setpoint=169&thermostat=0") The output I see from the console is the following: [20.08.2022] [18:27:15] [DEBUG] [SCENE5]: 400 [20.08.2022] [18:27:15] [DEBUG] [SCENE5]: 400 Bad Request 400 Bad Request For context, I am able to connect locally and remotely to the HC3L and I can invoke RequestBin from the same network the HC3L is on. After looking for solutions in other threads I think I am missing somethign very silly but also important. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hello. I have written a code in LUA 5.4 which gives me a list of prices and timestamps through a URL, and on FIBARO HC2 it wont work. I understand that FIBARO HC2 uses Lua 5.1 or something like that. I am trying to start a boiler and a heater using HC2, but I have no idea how to start with that. How can I start the boiler and a heater at the time when prices are low on HC2 using a website URL? If required, I will provide more information in the comments. Thanks in advance.
  4. I am trying to start a boiler and a heater from an URL that has a lot of prices and timestamps. I am using Home Center 2. I have no idea where to start from, I understand I need VD (Virtual Devices) and Scenes, but anything I have tried hasn't worked sadly. How can I start a boiler and a heater during the lowest prices with JSON timestamp values from an URL? If required, I can post the URL here. Can anyone help me?
  5. Is anyone has succeed to use https connection? I did follow Fibaro's procedure to install certification Download the certificate. In the Windows Start menu search for mmc app and open it. In the MMC (Microsoft Management Console) app go to File > Add/Remove Snap-In. Add Certificate Snap-in: Certificates > Select “Computer account” > Next > Next > OK. Now go to Certificates > Trusted Root Certification Authorities and right-click on “Certificates” Import the certificate. Find the certificate downloaded from the FIBARO Home Center 3. Import it. Done. Your connection with the gateway is now secure. but doesn't work on FIrefox. (Expiration date ?) Any extra steps required to install certification? Interesting it does work with Chrome !!??
  6. I am trying to get this to work... I have a Fibaro Movement Sensor in the hallway and want to do the following.. When the sensor is breached, it should send out a https message to macrodroid link which will in turn turn the brightness of the Android Tablet sitting next to the door to 100% and then set the CCTV app to full screen. I am using Macrodroid to automate the part of the android bit and it all works. I just can't work out how to call the https link. The link is like this. Any ideas how I can call it?? It can be either a scene or VD. https://trigger.macrodroid.com/ab12345656-1111-4444-AB10-1234567890/home Many thanks in advance.. ( I have done a search of the forum and the examples listed are just too complex for me to understand.. hence I am asking here.)
  7. Hello Fibaro team, Internet as we speak is transforming towards more and more use of HTTPS and TSL. My question is simply, is there a timeplan for HC2 to transfer from HTTP to HTTPS also on the local site access solution? I understand there can be difficulties with the certificates...... For example, I would prefer to send an HTTPS request to HC2 for starting scenes or altering status on a device, where username and password are protected with TSL transmission. Kindly, DrPepper
  8. Hi, I am trying to connect to a secure web server, with a self-signed SSL certificate, using the net.HTTPClient() library in a scene. When I connect to the web server using my web browser, I get a warning telling me that the certificate is not certified by a valid authority, as you may have already seen on such certificate. In my web browser, I just click on the button to continue anyway. Firefox even allows me to add the certificate to the list of approved certificates. Problem solved But on HC2, I can't figure how to bypass the warning Here is the LUA code i use : local URL = "https://subdomain.domain.com/path" local httpClient = net.HTTPClient() httpClient:request(URL, { success = function(response) if response.status == 200 then -- Code to execute if successfull else fibaro:debug("Error : status=" .. tostring(response.status)) end end, error = function(err) fibaro:debug('httpClient:request() : Error : ' .. err) end, options = { method = 'GET', checkCertificate = false, } }) As you can see,I tried to use the "checkCertificate = false" option, but I doesn't seem to have any effect. I always get the following message : "sslv3 alert handshake failure" [DEBUG] 21:05:41: httpClient:request() : Error : sslv3 alert handshake failure The checkCertificate option seems to exist, as I found it as a string in the compiled binaries into the HC2. I tried both true and false boolean values, which seems to be accepted by the LUA interpreter, but I doesn't affect result as I would normally expect; If I try another value, such as a number or a string, I get a LUA Cast error and the script immediately ends. This is a proof that the checkCertificate parameter is used, but apparently with no effect. Can anyone confirm this strange behavior ? To Fibaro developers, can you confirm this parameter is correctly implemented ?
  9. Hoping someone can shed some light on this... Trying to send a HTTPS GET request to an AWS API Gateway endpoint. Here's the Lua code (obviously I've removed any privileged information for the purposes of posting here): httpClient = net.HTTPClient(); httpClient:request ( 'https://**********.execute-api.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/****/***********', { options = { method = "GET", headers = { ['x-api-key'] = '*****************************' } }, success = function (response) fibaro:debug (response.data) end, error = function (err) fibaro:debug ("Error:" .. err) end }) I get an 'Error:Transport endpoint is already connected' message in the debug window. That's not a response from the API (no requests get logged on the AWS side, so the HC2 isn't getting as far as making the request at all.) If I try making a HTTPS request to another URL (like Google for example) it works with no issue. Also I know the API endpoint works, because I can call it from CURL and it does exactly what I expect. It's just from a scene. Seems like others have had the same issue, specifically with AWS API Gateway. Anyone know how to get this to work? Cheers, Dan
  10. Hello Everyone, I am very new to programming with the Home Center 2, and am still working my way through all of the documentation. One thing i noticed in all of the examples is that all commands are sent over HTTP, including the username and password in the URL. Is there no encryption support? Thank you in advance, Dave
