Hi, i got a HCL a few hours ago. I added a VD with 2 buttons. 1-on 2-off First button "on": GET /0/true HTTP/1.1 Second button "off": GET /0/false HTTP/1.10x0D0x0A0x0D0x0A Do i have to add Host:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx because it works fine without Host Buttons work with this hex "0x0D0x0A0x0D0x0A" and without hex... How to get status of device? Normally when i wrote http://ip/0/status response is : {"id":0,"state":1} I want to set VD on-off position from this response any help please?

Alexa Skill (for not only switching lights)
Alex posted a question in Other Devices / Third-party devices
Between the years I had some few seconds to learn about NodeJS, Alexa Skills and Fibaro API. I was able to create a Skill for Alexa to communicate with Fibaro HC2 (HCL should work also). For now it is written and configured for German language but can easily adopted to any other language. Disadvantages so far: The Fibaro Box must be available via internet by any port forwarded to HTTP port 80 only (unless you are creating a proxy in between). Dyndns and IPv4 are useful... The skill cannot get certificated and set up easily. For using it an Alexa Skill must be created manually and the code and all other options (like intents list, custom slots and utterances) must be pasted manually. Some smaller changes in the code is needed too (abbreviations, url, port, authentication). Also Alexa is responding only after asking for the keyword (like fibaro, house ore something like this). While using the Alexa Smart Home Skill it is not possible to have more usage than other already existing skills (like HABridge). Advantages/Possibilities (just some examples): - You are able to set temperature for a special period of time - You can get and set status of global variables - You can change up to two lights at once or all lights in one or two rooms at once - You can call scenes - You can get status information about open/closed doors, open/closed windows, bot at once, turned on lights - Status information about wall plugs (turned on or off and power consumption) - Change roller shutters status (with proper words like shut down instead of shut off). If anybody might be interested he can ask me for the code. I am going to publish it somewhere (maybe Github) in the next days if anybody else might get interested in this. Also code is still not perfect. There might be a couple of bugs and it might get written better. But it was my first time I was writing anything for Alexa and with Nodejs (don't know why I have chosen this language). Also I would like to know some more ideas what could be done additional. Also I am interested if anybody has some improvements (like communicating via home.fibaro.com). -

Hello my dear Fibaro-Family, I bought the HCL one week ago and got already some Fibaro devices that I wanted to bring into the Z-Wave environment. The setup of the HCL was quite easy. I started building the sections and rooms and wanted to add my first device. Here the issue: I click on the section "Devices" - "Add or remove devices" and then on "add" with the result = THAT NOTHING HAPPENS! I mean, really nothing. No feedback, no learning mode, no response, no error - just the beauty of noooothing! In the meanwhile I hate the videos on youtube showing how easy it should work. Anyway, there are these three possibilities before clicking on the "add" button: - Device is located far from the Home Center - NWI - Network-Wide Inclusion - Add in security mode if device supports it I tried already all different possibilities but still its not possible to add any device. Question: Whats the problem?!?!? Is there a possibility to run a hardware diagnostic? Maybe the Z-Wave controller is broken? Some more hints: - the learning mode does not start even when I click on "delete device" - "virtual device" and "add camera" brings me at list to a next menu - "Configuration" - "Z-Wave Network" I clicked on every possible "reset" button - when I click on "add secondary controller" the learning mode starts - I updated to all the new beta versions from the last days, still no change (currently 4.058) - I downloaded already 4 different web browser, as I thought that its maybe an issue with the view or so = No result Thank you in advance for your help! My wife has already this "what a waste of money"-look and I am quite sure that she will reach the next level (send this sh.. back) soon! I´m sure that you can now understand the urgency of my request... Thank you, Nico
