  1. I have a number of Aeotec devices in the system. And its a pain to remove them from the HC, enroll to Z-Stick, update them and then re-enroll back to the HC. Plus there is the additional pain of device id changes in the scenes. It seems that I am able to enroll the Z-stick as a secondary controller (I havent tried yet). If I do, am I able to update the firmware on the Aeotec devices ?
  2. Dear, I have been using HC for several years and my Z-WAVE network is starting to expand. To secure this network, I would like to provide a secondary Z-WAVE controller as described in this document. https://aeotec.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/6000119494-adding-z-stick-as-a-secondary-controller-to-anther-gateway-using-zensys-tool Is it possible ?
  3. Hi guys, So I am wondering whether it is possible to use a 3rd party USB stick such as the Aeotec Gen5 z wave stick to configure the z wave network with Fibaro HC2? The reason I want to do this is in case the HC2 fails, I can connect the a replacement HC2 to the z wave stick which "remembers" the network, so I don't have to manually add the modules to the new HC2. Basically I might end up with some zwave modules that are not connected to a physical switch and are less accessible, making it a pain to re add them if the HC2 fails (which I believe happens quite rarely?) Thanks
  4. Hi, I have been looking on the forum about the subject in the title, but I can't find an adequate answer. So, would it be possible to use Aeotec gen5 z-stick in combination with Domoticz as a primary controller and the HCL as secondary? thx, Rik
  5. HI, I am implementing an OpenRemote interface and may have come across an issue. All sensors in OR poll constantly according to what has been has been configured A sensor in OR is a way to read back the status of any device. The polling rate for a switch needs to be 1 second so you can see the status has changed when it is clicked. This creates a possible problem Multiply x 100 devices and you get a lot of API calls just to keep OR functional. I have noticed an increasing use of memory since I started implementing OR This surfaces two issues in my mind Do we know how many API calls (per second, per minute) that the HC can hanndle If I am close to the threshold or prove that it is becomming an issue, would a slave HCl alleviate this stress ? Thanks Frank
