I hope this is not too offtopic, but I'm looking for a way to control a scene in HC2 by using infrared.
Situation:
-HC2 on first floor
-Fibaro dimmer on second floor ('movie room')
-Harmony ONE remote
It would be cool to dim the lights when you press 'play' on de remote.
This would be possible if there was a module that could receive IR signals, and sent them using Z-wave to the HC2, or maybe directly to the dimmer.
However, it seems this doesn't exist.
I know there are IR to X10 converters, but that doesn't talk with HC2.
Ofcourse, logitech has the harmony 890 which does Z-wave, but it is out of production and they don't develop for it anymore. So all the bugs will be unsolved.
The best way to control a home cinema set is still with a harmony one (IR).
Any other idea's on how to dim the lights with IR?
