Virtual device for control physical devices

byackee

Question

Hello,

To control my heating I use a virtual device to operate the physical modules. This is very convenient for use with scenes.

Your screen shot shows you using the HTTP interface from inside the fibaro (not externally) to switch a light on. I may have missed the 'heating' related aspect of this. How do you activate your heating, and what is the heating device?

  • hello,

I use the virtual device to launch the scenes. The scenes operate the physical device.

Hi. Thanks for the screen shots. I think I'm still missing something. You have a virtual device 'button' that presumably you 'push' to activate the heating scene. Does this provide a benefit over just activating the scene ?

Don't you get the same result by just running the scene?

or are you trying to build a combined device from multiple devices?

  • I want a device with buttons for controlling fews équipements or fonctions. Scènes are less user-friendly.

Ok... I think with HC2 version 2 and plugins architecture we can do this and create infinite and more suitable emulated device.

Je cherchais à faire la même chose pour commander mes 2 sorties de relais pour la commande par fil pilote de mes radiateurs.

Dommage que le panneau de chauffage ne fonctionne pas avec les périphérique virtuel.
