I think with the Nest it's either that or something else.

It doens't really make sense to use the danfoss coneccts and the Nest at the same time. as they both will "ask for heat"

while the danfoss living connects can do this per room. which is way more effective in cost, energy and comfort. (IF working well) which is not yet with the Fibaro as the heating panel combined with the linked devices is not optimised yet for multiple thermometers to one relay.

But If you would only be using the Nest, I have to say it looks very smart and nice designed.

  • on the ground floor i have floor heating and actually i need just one temp sensor / thermostat.

Since HC2 is VERY limited in that area i thought that maybe it would make sense to involve some smart thermostat to take care of my ground floor and just use HC2 to take information from this thermostat and then open valves when this thermostat will say so.

If you would use it for that area, I think that is a very smart idea. Just have to take in account that most wall thermostats that replace the old one will modulate the boiler.

I don't know if that counts for floor heating aswell. if it is simply a relay, you could indeed use the binary sensor for that!

Nest works well only in the U.S. and Canada. In Europe causes problems:
