Step relay control

Guest dsilletti

Question

Guest dsilletti

Hi all!

In some cases is necessary to use step relay (eg to control electro valves for long time, I have electro valves for gas, water, water for cooling/heating fancoils (summer/winter) etc and I don't want my fibaro relay switch stay all the time with powered coils, for example summer/winter for months).

Of course I can control normal step relay by fibaro relay switch(closing the contact for 1 second I can change the step relay output), but I cannot check the status of the step relay in that case.

I could use a universal sensor to check if the output of the step relay is open or closed (using a double contacts step relay, one for the 230v valve and the other for the universal sensor input), but I don't like too much this way.

There is a better solution?

Thanks
