Signal strenght

Guest Lode

Question

Guest Lode

Hi,

I installed a FGS211 switch by bringing it close to the controller.

Works fine.....

Then i placed it in it's final destination but now i don't receive any signal anymore.

It's only 5 meters away and 1 wall.

I know it's better to install it in it's final destination but how do i do that ?

Strang thing is that i did exactly the same with the universal sensor and this one works fine.

Before i had a Vera2 and never had problems with the FGS211 relays.

I paid 600€ for the HC2, please don't tell me it's a wast of money

Hi,

Mine are much further away on my Garage doors approx 25m through a thick stone wall and wood so range should not be an issue.

The one issue I had is that I had not tightened one well enough down to the surface and the anti tamper was not pressed.

Sorry thought it must have been a door sensor as you included near your HC2.

If it is only 5m and a wall away, try putting HC2 into learning mode and go through the add again without removing. My HC2 does find devices a good distance away and there seems to be an undocumented feature that updates the routing table if you put back in learning mode and activate the device add again. Not sure it is valid but it has worked for me when I have moved a few devices around.

  • Robert,

An hour ago i excluded the device and installed it in it's final location.

I took HC2 with me and tried to inlude with recoverymode as described in the manual.

I tried everything but nothing works.

    Ok next.......'

I will bring the device back to HC2's place and include again.

Then place the device to it's final location and try including again .

This is what you mean ?

    Thx for your help.
