This scene will only trigger by a change of your (iphone?) position.

So when you are outside the perimeter of 1000m and then you become inside that perimeter, the scene will trigger.

  • I see, is there a way to check to see if i am home (as i dont want the scene to run when im not.

what is the difference between arrives "appears in the" and "arrives at point". as per your reply this would suggest that these are the same

It would appear that my GPS locationing is not working as i set up a simple scene to say, switch on the hall lights when i arrive at home. this did not work, however i can see that the fibaro iphone app is using GPS and is updating every minute

what is the easiest way to test the GPS e.g. a log file of the location ?

    regards

You could use a combination of this topic:

    about a wake up light

and the variables in this topic:

to see if you are at home, or sleeping. or maybe even a getting up state in the variable...

  • It seams silly that you need to be connected via remote access on the iPhone for the house know your location. It means you have to unlock our phone, fire up the app, goto configuration and connect on remote access, every time you leave the house.

Once everything is set up I don't want to have to think about it, that's the point of having everything automated.

Is there an easy way of the hc2 knowing your not home ?
