Everspring SF812 smokedetector problem .......BIG ISSUE !

Guest Lode

Question

Guest Lode

I've been told that the smokedetector does not wake up to pass its battery level

Is this true ?

When i added it to the HC 2 z wave network i got a batterylevel

It seems that it passes its batterylevel only by inclusion.

Can somebody conform this ?

Take a look at this....

Please login or register to see this code.

yes

there is only 2 stage (full, and low)

after change battery you need wake up device then battery report should change

that device don't support wake up time too, that way there is no value in that input

problem is on device side and we can't fix that

  • Thank you A.Socha

I think it's time Fibaro is going to make a smokedetector

  • Hello

I have one SF812 and i didn't succeed to use it with the HC2.

It stays in status "Not configured". When i have some smoke, it didn't detect anything.

Do you still support it ?

    Thank you

Same issues for me. I'll think I will just change them to Fibaro's ones...

  • Yes i know and i will test also the new fibaro sensor in the frame of my web magazine.

But for my community, i would like to know if Fibaro supports SF812.

I have just plugged it to another box and it works well. So i assume that HC2 is not managing it anymore.

I have 3 of those on my HC2 and although I'm not sure about the battery indicator they work fine. If I push the test button they send a notification to HC2 and it can then trigger scenes just as you would expect. For me the battery icon is no must-have; I actually test these devices once a month.

  • Ok thank you

For the battery icon i know that it is normal. The capteur doesn't send the information to the box. It is just playing a beep locally when battery is going to stop.
