Integrate HC2 and Satel Integra

Guest GG

Question

Guest GG

Hi!

I'm trying to integrate my HC2 with Satel Integra Alarm with ETHN-1.

When I try to add the Satel panel in HC2, I don't see what port to enter and which user code I should enter.

The only thing I get is 100+ dead nodes...

Anyone that can point me in the correct direction?

Thanx

Ulf

  • you must chose port from integration

    Ok, thanx for that information.

What about the user code? Is that the code used to arm/disarm the alarm?

  • Sorry, but I can't get it to work.

First time I try to add a Satel panel, I enter ip, port and user code.

After this a popup window shows and says someting like loading configuration. There is a progress bar, but it stays at 0% all time.

After a couple of seconds, the popupwindow closes.

Now I have 100+ dead nodes.

It seem that HC2 can not connect to the alarm.

If I remove the SSatel panel from configuration, most of the dead nodes gets removed, but about 20 od them remain.

After this I can not add a Satel panel anymore or atleast nothing happens when I try.

After a restore of a backup from before I added the first Satel Panel I can add a Satel panel once, but the same this happens again.

    Any ideas?

  • I must say I'm very disappointed with the support at Fibaro and there customer understanding!!

A support guy connected to my computer via Teamviewer and tried to integrate the Satel Alarm with HC2 (same as I have tried a number of times).

    It did not work out.

He said: You have to contact a Satel integrator and he will configure your alarm system for integration.

I said: And how du you suppose an integrator will succeed with that without any documentation regarding integration HC2 - Integra?

No response to that, he could do nothing he said, not even tell me what settings in the Integra to check for, nothing at all!!

If Fibaro claim to be able to integrate there HC2 with the Satel Integra alarm system, some kind of basic understanding that a customer need information of how to do it should exist at Fibaro!! But obviously not...

Any comment on this, A.Socha or any other representative at Fibaro???

From what i know He was said that Satel refuse connection from HC2. As a reason that can be:

    - wrong ip of Satel

    - wrong port of integration

    - restriction on Satel (hc2 is not on the list to allow connection)

Our support in that situation can't do more. We will never ask about passwords for alarm or we never gonna change settings in customer alarm system. Therefore He was send You to Satel integrator because he was configured that alarm and he can tell you what You need change

  • Yes, I think your support could have done more!

He could have given me a simple document with some screen shots from your test setup what is important to configure in the Integra to make the integration with HC2 work.

I fully agree with you that you should not make any changes to a customers alarm system, what I ask for is information of how to do it.

GG, I'm mounting a full Satel Integra32 alarm with ETHN-1 board and this time I'm scared for configuration, if all goes well for me, I will try to help you

Please login or register to see this image.

/emoticons/default_icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> and if it does not work we can compare our system !

    My setup: Integra32 + ETHN-1 + Touch Sensoric Keypad + 4x GREY (PIR/MW) Sensor + 1x Glassbreak + 2 Reed

Please login or register to see this image.

/emoticons/default_icon_idea.gif" alt="" /> Have you try to use mobile KPD-2 iOS App, I think Fibaro use the same communication protocol...

Krystian, A.Socha, Do you have any recommendations to the programming Integra + ETHN-1 to ensure the proper functioning with the HC2 ?

    Thanx Krikroff!

My problem is just that Fibaro will not provide me with any details of how to configure the Integra to make it work with HC2.

I have never asked them to make any modifications to my alarmsystem.

I'm starting to think it has something to do with firmware versions of Integra or maybe firmware language of Integra.

But unfortunately, Fibaro refuse to provide me with information of which firmware versions they have confirmed work. Maybe they have not tested at all?!!

The firmware of my Integra is 1.10 swedish and ETHN-1 is 1.04.

I use the KPD-2 for android and that works pretty good.

It would be nice if we could make this work by combined effort. I hope you have better luck with your integration. I'd like very much to hear your success story regarding this integration.

If I can be of any help, feel free to ask.

GG, for me this is Integra 1.11 EN and ETHN-1 1.05. i'll try to complete my installation the next week.

If Fibaro team can give us any recommendations to the programming Integra + ETHN-1 to ensure the proper functioning with the HC2 ?

GG, for me after the load my integra32 configuration, all works great in Satel panel (just i have 128 zones instead of max 32 for integra 32, i think Fibaro use unique Integra 128 Template ! ?)... BUT

All my zones are dead nodes, i have the same problem

Please login or register to see this image.

    /emoticons/default_icon_eek.gif" alt="" />

When one of my PIR sensor is violated behind the dead node i can see the icon swap

Please login or register to see this image.

    /emoticons/default_icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> , for me this is a HC2 bug !

    [ Added: 2013-05-22, 00:54 ]

Everything seems to work very well!

Look my screen capture, you must configure in DloadX your Integra with this Data -> Options

    After,

To remove dead nodes you can try that:

    1. connect to your Integra with DLoadX.

    2. In Structure and devices, select keyboarb -> ETHN-1 and check Integration + encrypted integration.

    3. Store to your Panel + Store in flash memory.

    4. Connect to Fibaro HC2, nothing work !!!

    5. Reconnect to integra with DLoadX.

    6. uncheck encrypted integration, Store to your integra panel & after in flash memory.

    7. Reconnect to Fibaro HC2, and if you are Lucky.... all work great

I hope this work for you.

What I'm still trying to figure out right now... I'm interested in buying an Integra since it can be integrated with my Fibaro system.

So I think I need at least the following parts:

    Integra 32 main board

    ETHM1 TCP/IP interface

Any of their key panels, the INT-KSG-BSB looks nice

    Is that correct?

From what I see so far, you can integrate the sensors of the Integra in HC2 and use those sensors for doing other stuff in house. But I already have quite some door sensors and am planning on buying the Fibaro multisensors once they come out. Having separate PIR's, temperature sensors and lux-meters for the same room isn't something I really fancy.

Is it possible to use the z-wave sensors in the zones of your Satel and have the alarm work through them?

Is it possible to switch the alarm on and off using one of my Z-wave keyfobs that triggers a scene? For instance when the GF comes home, I would like for her to be able to press a button to open the garage door and at the same time switch off the alarm?

This is my next project also

i have alarm system from scantronic and i am planning on changing the motherboard .... keyboards... change the 2 external sirens, add the ethernet module so that i can use all my PIR sensors, smoke sensors and door sensors with HC2....

I just hope that this integration will be smooth... without any major issues

The question of hvb83 is what I am also wondering. Can we use the Z-wave / fibaro sensors with the Satel alarm to arm / disarm the system?

And following that, can you install an Integra without requiring any special knowledge or software or do I need an installing company to perform those works for me?

  • Is it possible to use the z-wave sensors in the zones of your Satel and have the alarm work through them??

I don't know if it is possible, but I'm not sure I would want to do that even if it can be done. I mean what is the stability of the z-wave and hc2 compared to the Integra? The other way around, that hc2 can trigger scenes from detectors in the Integra system, is a good choise and works very good.

And following that, can you install an Integra without requiring any special knowledge or software or do I need an installing company to perform those works for me?

I have installed my Integra system myself without any prior knowledge of alarm systems in general or Integra in particular. Of course you need some basic knowledge of electricity and to understand how to connect the detectors to the control board.

The configuration software is ok to work with, although not all settings are obvious. What I mean is that it is not always so easy to understand where to change a setting for a specific function. But I have managed to get it to work the way I want it to work.

The Integra system feels very stable och works very good. I think it has an enormous potential and I only use a small fraction of it.

I'm very heppy with the combination of Integra and hc2 where Integra takes care of the security of the house and hc2 controlls lamps inside and outside.

Feel free to ask any questions if you like, I'll be happy to help out if I can.

    Regards

    Ulf

    Hello,

I have a hc2 and look at different alarm systems that can integrate with it.

Gg, what solved your problems with the integration? Where can I buy the satel alarm? In sweden? What part are needed?

Could someone please describe how the integration works? What functionality would I get, what have you used it for etc?

    Thank you all in advance!

    Best regards

    Håkan

    Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding the Satel Alarms system.

i have an Integra system with the ETHM-1 module. I am trying to connect to the module through the dloadX program but it won't connect. It just says, 'connected', 'disconnected'. Are there any particular things i need to do to connect?

I ask here because i know people have Integra systems and i don't know where else to ask.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers,

    PT

  • Hi

Is the ETHM-1 module connected to the main board with the serial cable?

Is it detected/configured in the control panel?

Does the ETHM-1 have a proper IP-address on your network?

Have you entered all the ID-codes form the control panel in DloadX (under ID-codes, phone numbers (I don't know exactly what it is called in english as I have the swedish version))?
