Scheduled reboot

Guest shapa

Question

Guest shapa

Guys, no one is complaining - you are doing a great job, FC2 is the best product so far.

But the truth is that it will take some time to polish everything. A year? Two years? Who knows.

Latest 3.x versions are amazing, but still must be rebooted at least once per week.

May be you could make life a bit easier to your customers?

Why just not to add some "scheduled reboot" settings? for example I'll be happy to reboot at 3am daily....

A kind of watchdog.

p.s. today I realised that there is at least 10 seconds delay (motion sensors-> lighting, etc). For sure reboot fixed everything.

Did you find out how to schedule a reboot from the GUI?

I should be able to use cron for that but i don´t want to root my device if i don´t have to.

  • You can use lua script in a Virtual device to reboot HC2 and then use scene to schedule a reboot of the HC2 in the intervall of your choice. Scene should push the button of the created virtual device
