Official Android App : GPS tracking not working on Galaxy S4

ardillon

Question

Hi !

Weird bug : I installed beta 1.099 Android app on my Galaxy S4 few days ago. GPS tracking was working great in remote and local connection modes.

Then, when the "official" version came out on Google Play, I uninstalled the beta and installed the official version. But then I found out that the GPS tracking was not working any more at all.

So, after many trials, I discovered that if I uninstall completely the official version (kill the app, remove the app data, uninstall), and re-install the beta version, GPS tracking comes back to work ...

I tried many times to get back to the official version, without success.

So I am stuck with the beta, as I am using GPS based scenes everyday ...

Am I the only one to have this issue ?

Regards,

Ardillon

Well ... this evening, I performed a factory reset on my Galaxy S4, clearing all data and restoring as stock unit.

With only stock applications installed, I re-installed the Google Play version of the Android App, and GPS tracking IS NOT working !

Once uninstalled, I put back the beta version and ... the beta version is working

So, there is definitely a bug with the official version of the Android App ...

Try changing location accuracy to 20m or higher for testing.
