Network inclusion problems?

Gnilre

Question

Hi, I'm new to Fibaro Z-Wave and have some problems getting started. Hope that someone can help me.

The Aeotec Z-Stick Series 2 with Homeseer 2.5.8.81 gives me grey hair.

Currently I have two types of Fibaro devices tht won't be included.

The FGWPF-101 (plug-in switch) and the FGS211 (micro switch) doesn't want to be added. I have several brand new devices so I don't think it could be fabrications mistakes - it must be me.

I'm adding the throug Homeseer with the Add-node function, triple tap the button without success.

The last week I have added several other kind of Fibaro and others manufacturers devices to my installation.

I really hope someone can point me in direction of a solution here.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I used to run homeseer and had issues with micro modules. I found it was a matter of removing them even though they were new and not added. Cycling the power and then trying adding again. They added but never really worked as support was poor.

The plugs are new so never tried on homeseer.

  • Thanks for your answer, so you mean that I should first remove them - and then try to add them?

Is that by design or the only way to get them working?

As I said other Fibaro devices works just fine, also the micro dimmer from Fibaro.

Fibaro and Homeseer should be a good match...

Not sure if that is by design but I hope it works for you

I stopped using homeseer as it was not a good match for many european devices

  • Sorry to hear that Homeseer didn´t work for you, but many Homeseers users uses Fibaro.

For me it doesn´t make sense that the FGD-211 works fine but the FGS-211 won´t be added.

Of course it could be a batch from the factory which is broken but I don´t think so.

If others has ideas for my troubleshooting, please let me know.

You will get them added if they are good units but will probably have to poll them to get status.

  • Hello, any other people who has an idea how I can solve this?

Forget negative comment about Homeseer, with correct config Fibaro works.

My problem is to get the devices added, speed of tripple-clicking, when to do it, power cycle between test and so on.

    Thanks.
