SF812-1 Smoke Sensor false fire detection

pbillet

Question

Hi, I have 3 SF812-1 Smoke Sensors and regularly, my HC2 states a fire alarm ( and as there is a bug, you can't disable it on HC2, need to wake up the SF812-1 ).

Locally, on the sensor, there is no fire, and no sound emitted of course.

Anyone having the same issue ?

Between the false fire alerts and my Aeon 4-1 that triggers false presence detection I have a system that is unreliable, and when you stop trusting the stuff, it becomes useless...

  • for the 4-1, please check if the false alarm comes at a frequency that is always the same in the timeline, by default HC2 sets 4-1 wake up time to 4080s=68minutes.

Some units do send a presence alarm each time they wake up, which is not the expected behaviour, but seems to be pretty frequent on this model.

The solution seems to be as simple as put wake up frequency to 0.

The 4-1 doesn't need to wake up except for configuration, every other behaviour (presence, temp/hygro/lumi reporting) have their own reporting frequency

Anyone else ahving false fire alerts ?

Am I the only one ?
