Notification Open/Closed and FGS221

Domodial

Question

Hello,

I want to know the status (open / closed) of my garage and entrance gate.

As I use FGS221 modules, the notion of ON and OFF button does not exist, the notification always referred to as ON, but it is open to close is also ON.

Who can help me to make a virtual device (I guess) which changes state so that I can have real notifications Open and Closed?

thank you

Si je comprends bien tu utilises tes relais en mode monostable (bouton poussoir), donc tu as besoin d'un capteur pour connaitre l'état de ton portail

You need a sensor to know the status of your gate if your FGS is monostable

You can use another switch and connect it to S2 switch. And then you have to install it so - if garage door opens, it switches the switch to another position.

I do not have FGS221, but I think it should have "binary_light" type.

In this case it should be "value" attribute which can be "1" for "ON" state and "0" for "OFF" state.

You can check it with the following LUA code (replace 36 with your FGS221 id):

    Domodial,

"other" means you are trying to start scene manually. You should not do that.

You should open or close you gate instead and check what happens.

Ok. value 1 means "gate open" and value 0 means "gate closed". You can use it as a trigger for scene using:

    or just check it using:

    is it that you want?

  • no, that's not it.

The module has two buttons (on and off).

To operate the first time must be ON.

But to operate a second time must be OFF and ON again.

This is a dry contact control (no load on the contact), in order to open a garage door.

So if I make a notification to ON (the garage is open), closed the notification does not work because to open and close the garage must be used ON. So the notification message is always the same.

A great classic with this type of module: (
