I guess the RPI is needed to run the Domoticz sw, since HC is not compatible (yet?) with the RFXCOM device.

I found this remark in an internet article:

"The following Home Automation software / systems have implemented or are working on implementing support for Somfy RTS using the RFXtrx433E - Domoticz, DomotiGa, FHEM, Homeseer3, VERA, EventGhost, Node.JS, eeDomus (planned), Indigo domotics (planned), Girder (planned)."

Needless to say, I'd love to see Fibaro in such a list.

Hi Tane,

I also succesfully configured the RFXcom with my Somfy blinds. I have just one question. When controlling the blinds, they only close or open for just 2 seconds and stop. I have to press the button again to make it close or open. Sometimes it works like it should and the blind fully opens and closes. But most of the time it moves just a bit and stops.

Do you or anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks

Hakan

I guys,

There was a bug in the firmware of the RFXcom. Great support from those RFXcom guys. They send me a new firmware and everything is working fine with domoticz. If anyone needs help with the setup just scream

Hi guys, this is what I use in a virtual device:

change the ip and login of domoticz

you can find the id number of your device in your domoticz under devices

You can use Start, Off or Stop commands

Domoticz = Net.FHttp("192.168.2.38",8080)

Domoticz:setBasicAuthentication("admin", "xxxxxx")

response, status, errorCode = Domoticz:GET("/json.htm?type=command&dparam=switchlight&idx=7&switchcmd=Off&level=0")

fibaro:log(response)

fibaro:sleep(3000)

if errorCode == 0

then

fibaro:log(status)

else

fibaro:log(errorCode)

end

When you choose three buttons, it still only shows 1 button on the devices/Your house page

If you click on the icon with the four arrows you will see all the buttons.

Yes i get that but that is ..... stupid, why not show all buttons instantly without having to click on another icon first.

  • For more controlling options you have to upgrade rfxcom to the latest firmware.

I'm using a somfy urtsii "http enabled" with an arduino nano clone (cheap on ebay) with a dirt cheap ehternet shield (

    ) communicating via rs232 (

) with the urtsii. Very small footprint and very cheap (except for the utrsii unless you're a bit lucky).

I have the rfxtrx433E for some months running via Vera as a test, works great. Is there a possibility that Fibaro will program their hc2?

So i can get ride of the vera and complete my with the hc2?

Would it be possible for someone to write an idiots guide to doing this please. Here is what I have done so far :

    1. Domoticz on RPI - Check

    2. RFXCom433E on Domoticz - Check

    3. Created the Manual Lightswitch in Domoticz

    4. Added the Fibaro settings in Data Push in Domoticz

    5. Created a Virtual Device in Fibaro with the ip of Domoticz

    6. Created a three button layout for the virtual device and set the labels

Now, I know I have to add code, both on the virtual device side as well as have to do the programming of the RFXcom to the Somfy motors. Here are the admittedly newbie questions :

    a) What LUA Code goes in each of the buttons?

    b) I have 6 Blinds I'm looking to control. Either individually or through a scene. Should I have six different lightswitches in Domoticz, with a different node id. How do I get individual control and together as well?

    c) How do I set the program on the Domoticz for the RFXCom. I don't see a Program mode!

    d) Any Code to put in the Domoticz?

*Sigh* - Too many questions. Appreciate someone guiding me through this.
