Question

Plug was loose and found this. Is this a rare occurrence or should I check all my plugs?

palomaray, it looks like physical damage. If it was damaged out of box, you should contact your re-seller or run a warranty procedure.

  • No it was fine out of the box and been used for a couple of months.

The casing has broken from the inside and the crack is in line with the earth tag which makes it look like the tag has pushed out the plastic, possibly from a small defect in the material?

There's no external damage or impact damage at all, and it is definitely from the inside. The item is still under warranty so I'll be returning it so it isn't a big deal. I have checked my others and they are fine, but wondered if anyone else had the problem as it could affect the earthing (grounding) of the plug.

Here's another picture which may be clearer.

Looks like something not quite right on the ground plate which has pushed out on the casing?

palomaray, we have not encountered such damage yet. Please continue with warranty procedure. If anyone had similar problem, please post it here or send me a message, so we can eliminate possibility of material fault.
