Aeotec Device Easy Configuration Screens

markdyer

Question

hi, When I add Aeotec/Aeon Labs devices they don't have the nice configuration screen/process like the Fibaro devices. How can I add that in. Is there a template such as xml I can create or are these configuration templates in the database. Next question is where ever it is, how do I get there.

I still have been unable to get root access to view logs among my interests.. If anyone has a process this get this please PM me, My supplier has been less then helpful.

Thanks

To my knowledge there is still no way to create a template yourself and use it. It would be nice, also as users can then share the templates instead of having to tell other people what parameter should be set to which value...

For the root access, there are some people who have it but Fibaro does not really like you to have it. And I can understand that, because some people may by accident damage the device.

markdyer, you need to add every parameters manually, there is no kind of template for this.

Also no root access is possible for cases mentioned by stevenvd.

well that's not entirely true. As all the devices that are supported by fibaro have a "template". Such as a Fibaro dimmer uses template: parametersTemplate: "235"

This is also used to see what type of smoke sensor etc. it is. It would be nice to be able to build a template like that ourselves, so we can add descriptions to the parameters.

here is your dimmer template: hc2IP/api/templates?id=235

Please login or register to see this code.

  • j.nowacki if we provided you with clearly written documents such as above with the device model id etc with it's configuration options, language values and default settings will you include this into your database please?

When each fibaro update is processed does it replace the device database table. Wondering how upgrades are processed.
