Aeon Labs Smart Energy Switch with Firmware 4.0.32

larsson76

Question

Hi,

I have updated to 4.0.32 and since almost everything failed after the upgrade I decided to do a clean install and then bring it up to 4.0.32 before adding devices and scenes.

Now most of my system works again but my Aeon Smart Energy Switch wall plugs do not. They are reported as "missing template" in the diagnostics section. The HC2 includes them and says "transfer ok" when switching on/off in HC2 yet there is no response at all from the actual switch.

How can I make them work? Wall plugs should be the simplest form of device I guess (on/off + consumption reporing only)

I did exactly the same as what you did - start CLEAN with 4.032. I had loads of failures doing that. SO I went down to a CLEAN configuration on 3.600 and that is actually the most stable I have had my HC2 for months. The only issues I have are:

- Missing Icons for the Fibaro motion sensor

- Sometimes a motion sensor will magically turn into a temperature sensor...

I was not able to get the Aeon Labs devices to work with 4.032.

Hi!

I got the same problem with my Aeon labs plugs. Apparently in the 4.033 version you can download the template for the aeon labs devices (xml-file, in the z-wave diagnostic panel). Do you know how to add the template to the device?
