FGD211 ver.2.2 Issues with association

Reaching out to u all to see if anyone can help me understand whats wrong here...

I have a FGD211 Dimmer behind a dual bistable wall switch. What I'm trying to achieve is that the second button connected to S2 should control a different FGD211 unit. When I read the instructions it seems quite simple, just associate the second dimmer ID to Group 2 of the first dimmer in its advance settings... Yeah right!

When I do this both S1 and S2 buttons starts to control both dimmers in a synchronized way. What ever I do to reset and reconfigure, I cant get the two dimmers to operate separately!

Not sure if it matters but Group 1 have the default configuration of "1". I assume this to be the HC2 unit.

Please help!!

I just checked it on two dimmers in that version and was not able to reproduce this error. Are you sure that wall switch is properly connected? Please disconnect S2 from module and try to activate only S1. Does it control the associated dimmer as well?

  • Thanks, a bit embarrassing to admit but there must have been a wiring issue after all...

I disconnected the cable from S2 on the switch but S1 was still controlling the associated dimmer. When I disconnected the same cable on the FGD211 it stopped. I suspect that since the terminal blocks are so close on the dimmer there most have been a single strand from cable connecting S1 and S2. Regardless of what it was it now works.

Thanks for leading me in the right direction!
