AEOTEC Multisensor - real PIR??

Question

Quick question. Is the AEON Multisensor a real PIR sensor or just movement detector? The reason I ask is that I have positioned this outside my house and it is above a plant. And it constantly keeps triggering movement notifications. Is there a setting I need to set in HC2 to work on IR movement sensor only?

Im not sure if its real PIR, I tried to use them outdoor as well, also decreased sensitivity but still had false alarms, so started to use Everspring Outdoor sensors instead

  • Strange.. after removing it and then adding it back in, it seems to be working now.. the reason I like the AEOTEC is that they can be USB powered so no worries about batteries and can be configured to report back more often..

correct, I realised tht they have to be added only after they are USB powered, if you USB power them only after inclusion, the still behave as battery operated...
