Hello Forum,

I have a FIBEFGS-222 that is not in the HC2 anymore.

I can not exclude or include it. is there a way to reset the FIBEFGS-222?

Otherwise I cannot use it anymore.

    2. Resetting Double Relay Switch

Double Relay Switch provides two methods for resetting.

Method I : Reset by removing Double Relay Switch from the

existing Z-Wave network. The device may be removed using the

controller that has the ability to include/exclude devices from/to

Z-Wave network (see the manual of controller).

Method II : Within 5 sec. after connecting mains voltage supply

Double Relay Switch allows the user to reset settings by single

pressing S1 key and then holding key S2

Strange, my instructions come from the official document too. I downloaded it from the global site:

Am I using the right manual for this device?

  • to complete reset it I have to hold B button for 3 sec. after connecting mains voltage to the Switch.

then disconnect device from main voltage.

then click the delete device button - you see that one device is successfully deleted.

then you can include the device again.

took me long to discover this procedure ...

I think I misunderstood parts of your post.

    1) I gave you the reset procedure for the device, in answer to your first two posts. Now you tell me that "it was hard to find out the procedure". And then you tell the procedure is exactly like I told you. Please enlighten me... What was the difficult part? Is it the fact the you expected me to also tell you to "delete the device" from the controller? It isn't really part of any reset procedure. But I can understand the confusion, absolutely! I remember other people saying the reset procedure "did not remove the device"! The reset procedure is for emergency only. It does not (for any device) remove the device from the Homecenter... Maybe I should have explained that when I gave you the procedure. I'm sorry if you've lost valuable time because of that!

    2) You link to the same procedure as me. The procedure mentions "3 sec" and that's the correct procedure. But in another post you said you had instructions that asked to hold the button for "5 sec" and doing other things. Mr. Barnas asked where you got that information from and I am curious too, because this information is wrong, it has to be corrected... I tried to "google" it but I couldn't find it.

    : Sorry for the confusion.

I try to repeat my problem.

    1) My HC2 started to delete about 2/3 of my devices after a reconfiguration of a fibre motion sensor. I had to use a backup  - which worked fine - where some of the switches were missing.

I tried to exclude and include those switches or delete them. But no luck. I remembered that I once had to reset a battery device to be able to reinclude it again.

So my thought was when the device is reset I do not have to delete it. Because it was not in the HC2 before. So in my understanding I can only delete what is in the memory or known by HC2.

    2) Barnas wrote

" ...... It is clearly described in point III/2 of FGS-222 manual. ........"

I followed his advice an ended up in the manual I already knew with this explanation ...

But anyway thanks to you both you helped me with one of my probs.

By the way - any idea why some of the 9 switches are not showing if they are turned on or off ?

Understood! Thank you for clarifying this! Nasty business, those deleted devices...

Regarding status. I've had it happen with FGS-221 that something goes wrong with associations from the relay to the controller. I've had cases of group 1 to 3 not having "1" listed. And I also remember after some upgrade, I had to remove and reapply the association to "1". According to the manual, FGS-222 has the same groups, so I think this is worth trying...

    Hey Peter,

sorry to to bring up an old post. I’m having issues resetting a double switch 2 and tried that procedure but she’s not resetting to factory. Anything changed with this procedure with newer firmware or anything?

I rarely use that reset, because this is easier:

Any controller can exclude (and reset) any device at any time.

So simply enter the menu of your controller to delete a device (even when it was never included on this controller).

Then click or 3-click depending on the exact model. Your controller should say "deleted".

You can look up model and firmware here:

It should work, quickly press S1 (push button) or B-Button, or quickly toggle S1 three times (toggle switch). That is 3x in 1/2 second. Or simply keep clicking at that (fast) rhythm.

The green light at power on tells me the module (thinks) it is still included on your controller.

Module should be < 2 m away from your controller.

It means you are looking at the wrong manual and using the wrong reset procedure because it is not a FGS-222 but a FGS-223 and they are quite different.

Please login or register to see this link.

That "blueish" led is the menu and the reset procedure is at page 11.
