Question

Posted
Hi everyone,

for security reasons and the unavailability of https I would like to connect to my HC2 through an reverse proxy. This generally works well.

Now I want to protect this access also via .htaccess because I don´t know how secure the login of the HC2-surface is.

I now secure access with htaccess, so the login fails at the HC2-surface. I get the message "wrong password". But the login without .htaccess configuration works well with the same password.

I suspect an error in the code of Fibaro. Can anyone confirm this?

How can i solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Lacky

By not using .htaccess. It will not work.

Use VPN or why not (as I do) port knocking.

But here is a pretty darn good guide for the same equipment that I use at my home (MIkrotik), and it is definitely more structured

    It will not work, because of an issue in fibaro´s software! For example, with an wordpress installation the login works perfectly!

    VPN is not a solution for me, because i can´t connect over VPN @work. It´s not allowed.

    Port knocking is only possible with additional hardware, right? So this is also not the preferred solution.

    So i will open a ticket  :->

    Thanks, I also do have a Mikrotik, so I'm going to try it.
