Virtual Device with RGBW Controller

Stephan Smit

Question

I currently have a virtual device in HCL that switch the RGBW Controller on to a preset colour.

GET /api/callAction?deviceID=46&name=setColor&arg1=20&arg2=11&arg3=0&arg4=20 HTTP/1.1
Host: X.X.X.X
Authorization: Basic xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I would like to know if it is possible to set this to a preset options from the RGBW (eg LPD or AURORA?)

Would be great if my LED Strip light could be switched on to LPD in case of fire or flood sensor tripped.

Please note this is needed for a HCL...

Thanks

This can be done in a scene,

i.e. IF fire alarm breached, THEN (your RGBW) program 6 (for LPD)

I use the same commands to trigger mine when the garage door is opened, however what I am struggling with is having them return to their previous state once it is closed again.

  • Hi @theaudioalliance

    Thanks.

I've used this API command to get to program 5 of RGBW. Works perfect.

    GET /api/callAction?deviceID=84&name=startProgram&arg1=5 HTTP/1.1

It is not yet managed to get a virtual device to work.

What do you want here: XXXX (is it for example. "192.164.56.22:80")
And what does it stand here: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (is it for example. "Admin: Mars33")

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi @HouseTigerOne

Host: X.X.X.X    (Your HCL IP address)
Authorization: Basic xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  (Replace xx with code, Use decoder in link below)

Use below link to know Authorization login:password (in this code admin:admin)
    Authorization: Basic WRtaW46YWRtaW4= admin:admin

Please login or register to see this link.

In V4.057 (Beta) it is possible to trigger a RGB program in Scene and Virtual device no longer needed.
