Question

Posted

Hi,

I have an Aeon Labs DSD31 ZW080-C15 Sirene. Parameter 80 "Send notifications to associated devices (Group 1) when the state of Siren changed" can be set to:

  • Do not send (default)
  • HAIL Command Class
  • BASIC Command Class report

Can someone tell me what these options are for?

Thanks!

- not report self state

- send hail frame to controller for poll to get status

- send status device witch basic frame

Hi, thanks for the info, but I would love to understand what these command classes are actually for. Do they relate to the alarm functionality?

    Thanks

I second that. I have no idea if we should use the HAIL class or not.

From what I've read, HAIL is a way for a device to let the controller know that something has changed. Don't know if this is different from ON/OFF-status.

Does option "BASIC Command Class report" mean that it won't update the controller but have to be polled for it to be visible?
