FGMS-001 Motion Sensor Associations

I have several motion sensors all triggering scenes in my house.

Works fine, but slow.

 

I am trying to setup direct associations, preventing these delays, however, I cannot get them to work.

What am I missing? There isn't much documentation on this. I made a direct association in group 1 (& tried 2 as well) to switch on a dimmer2.

Figured out that if I associate Group 2 and I 'TAMPER' the sensor, the light does turn on.

Association in Group 1 with a 'BREACH' does not trigger BASIC ON with DIMMER 2.

 

Most defintely a bug. Any input?

Another day, another test:

 

The motion sensor activation works great on a RGBW controller. Very fast and reliable.

In no way it works with a dimmer (2).

If you haven't contacted [email protected], I recommend you to do so. This is a community supported forum. Fibaro will eventually read this, but it is not a help desk. That said, there are some other topics concerning various combinations of associations working and not working. I'm thinking this might be a combination of firmware versions, both of the dimmer and the sensor. Unless someone else reports something here, I think contacting support is your best option. And thank you for reporting your progress with RGBW, it's always interesting to hear that kind of information.

I see that this post is old, but i had the same issues today. Found a way to make it work.

I have:

• HC2 v.4.180 
• FGMS-001 v.2.8 (Motion Sensor)
• FGD-212 (Dimmer 2)

Solution:

• Select

   from the top menu
• find your FIBARO Motion Sensor
   
• Go to the device settings by clicking the icon 
   
• Click on the Advanced tab, now scroll down and find Associations section and click  button.
   
• Find "Group 1" under "Endpoint 0" and click it.
  
   
• Find your Dimmer 2 (under the name you have made for it) on the list and tick it in the S column.
  
   
• Scroll down and click the  button at the bottom of the screen.
  
   
• On your Motion Sensor, press the B-button fast 3 times to wake up and send new configuration. Do this as close as you can to your HC2 unit.
  
   
• When movement is triggered, your light will turn on now.
   
• After some time without any movement in the room, the light will be turned off.
   
• Change the timer: go back to Advanced tab,  scroll down to section  Parameters. Find the Parameter 6 to set the time in seconds. The motion alarm will be cancelled in the controller and associated devices after the time specified in this parameter.
  Each motion detected when Fibaro Motion Sensor is in sustain mode extends that time and restarts the counter. For small values, especially less than 10 seconds, parameter 2 should be adjusted ("Blind Time" of the PIR sensor).

Thanks. This set up is working fine with one sensor. However in my living room I have a two sensor setup which need to trigger on lux and motion.

Got this working in a blockscene (HCL) (but not very stable unfortunately). So I'm investigating if I can use associations with multiple sensors as well.

Maybe you guys can assist?

 

If motion 1 or 2 is tampered, turn on device 1, 2 and 3 (and only in daylight)

If both motion 1 and 2 has been set to safe, turn off device 1,2 and 3.

 

Is this possible?
