FGD-212 Dimmer v2 On/Off Mode

King

Question

Hello!

Is there a possibility to set the FGD-212 Dimmer v2 in a standard on/off mode without the slider and dimming function?

I connected a regular motion detector from Steinel (not the one from fibaro) to the FGD-212 Dimmer v2 input. I just want to activate a scene through the Dimmer if motion is detected! There is no lamp etc. connected on the output cause i just need the input signal!

After manual switching to on via the web interface it is automatically switching off after a few seconds??? Is this normal and is there a method to avoid the auto switch-off?

I don't need the slider or dimming function and i'd like to have just the two on and off icons instead of the %-Icons.

Any ideas??

happy new year to all of you!

You can't change the display of the FGD-212.

  • Hi petergebruers,

and thankyou for your help. Your link seems to help a lot. So far I understood that there is a load required to operate the dimmer 2. So at least a bypass (FIB_FGB-002) as a load is necessary...?

Do you think it might work like this:

That's right, but... I had a quick look at the steinel and it does not have a separate relay output. It only has one of the contacts available. It's worth trying though.
