Hello,

Is it possible to use dimmer 2 without N to two sources/lights? So i can use S2 for the second light?

Or do i need two Dimmer2 for it to work?

  • I probably don't understand your question, I think you have two separate issues? First, you want to know if you need N at the Dimmer? I recommend you to connect both L and N to the dimmer also known as "a three wire setup". The dimmer CAN work without N, but you probably need a "bypass 2" and there are subtle differences. Have a look at this schematic diagram:

The second question is: Can I use two lights? The dimmer has only one output, so the answer is "yes" if you want them to connect them as one, but "no" if you want to dim a second light. What you can do, is use S2 to trigger scenes on your controller, and that scene can control a second relay or second dimmer (but not with smooth dimming).

If you are not qualified to work with mains voltage, may I suggest you to ask professional assistance? Mains can kill.

    Does this answer your question(s)?

Thank you so much! I thought you also could use S2 for "light output".
