Hi, all Fibaro users.

We are smart home company from Ukraine. For a long time we are try to find audio multiroom solution. Sonos speakers are quite expensive, so we wanted to use something cheaper.

So we found great product called iEAST:

It has fancy phone application which allows to do everything with it. Let me provide main advantages:

- playback from different online services

- playback from SD card

- multiroom (possibility to group several players into one zone).

- IR remote control

- Stereo 3.5mm analog output and SPDIF optical

- Great sound quality

- Wi-Fi and wired connection

But unfornunately there is no API in order to connect it to Fibaro.

And we spent some time to investigate requests from these devices and developed our own plugin for HC2.

At this moment plugin (virtual device) allows to do almost same as native application provided with device.

Please check our demo:

And short video how this device looks:

This post addressed to Fibaro developers. What do you think about this device?

Do you want to help to imporove this plugin?

P.S. If I'm not wrong we have only Sonos Multiroom devices which works with Fibaro?

Latest code with documentation located here:

Personly I want something like this, but with a built in speaker amp.

All this items requiers you to have a speaker systems that is in need of power, and you don't want to install power to all speaker locations.

Our company cooperates with this manufacturer.

They have big plans and going to develop several similar products like speakers and players and so on.

We use such products for Fibaro Smart home.

I had problems getting rocki to work reliable.

Now I use Chromecast instead and some scripts on a raspberry pi to help communicate

I don't know if rocki supports multiroom, at least they wanted too. I am using logitech media server and squeezeplayers on severall raspberry pi's some with DAC some without. Easy to install. Works perfekt.

    Thank you for inputs!

We are improving Virtual Device for controlling iEAST and soon will be able to provide it.

I think all smart home installers are interested in such devices:

    - in should be a box, which ready for usage without additional hardware development.

    - good audio quality

    - multi-room support

    - there is no need to maintain additional media server (linux or windows).

    - user friendly design

As I can see, there is only Sonos (but it's very expensive). So iEAST if very good replacement IMHO.

    There are more than Sonos.

There is also NuVo and Heos (Denon) and with max 3 rooms you can use Denon amplituner.

With denon amplituner you have the best quality.
