Timer with intervall based are not reset

Quikdav

Question

Hello

I just found out - again - an operation that I would call stange. Maybe some of you will find it normal, I don't know..

I have a timer to trigger the pump of my swimming pool.

I defined the start at 2:00 am until 23:00 pm with the launch of the scene every 5 hours.

In theory, I should expect a trigger at 2:00 am, 7:00 am, 12:00 am, 05:00 pm and 10:00 pm with restarting next day at 2:00 am..

Well not at all, it seems to work the first day but shifts the following days, ie it takes account only the interval and not the start time.

The next day, it begins at 10:00 pm + 5, ie 3:00 am then 8:00 am, etc. It does not restart at 2:00 am !!!

Personally, I consider this a bug

What do you think ?

Thank you

  • Dear Fibaro Team,

Could you please answer my question ? I need your opinion on this !!!!

As a new test, I created a new basic scene to be sure there is no interaction between the timer and the scene ran by the trigger..

I just created a trigger starting at 2:00am and ending at 11:00pm. This trigger just send an email

I received my email at 6:00pm, 11:00pm and then at 04:00am and 09:00am

So that means only durations are take into account, not the starting hour. I think the starting hour is the next hour the scene is saved

For me, starting hour and duration must be the criteria of the trigger. That means each day, the trigger must be restarted at the starting hour each day because it is a trigger per day and not per week, per month or per year

    What do you think ?

    Thanks

do you have hc2 or hcl?

an option would be just to write in lua and define the times.

in the case of hcl then create 5 scenes with defined times to trigger pump...
