Can't get running simple graphic block scene

herman007

Question

I just want to switch on lights if the motion sensor detects moving objects. After detection of moving objects, lights should be switched on for a number of seconds.

Lights must be switched off after delay of a number of seconds.

I am using:

Motion sensor = FGMS001 Motion Sensor 3.2

Switch = FGP111 Plug

Home Center 2, version = 4.080

Can anyone advise me to solve the 'problem' ?

  • To boerremk, wpeeters and PGL,

I made a big mistake (newbee for sure!). You folks are talking about Turn On. I had coupled Lights on, but that was the master not a slave.

The slave is named Lights energy.

So I changed from master to slave and I was able to select turnOn.

So thank you all for your time and effort to keep me going on! Thanks to boerremk, wpeeters and PGL!!!

    Hi,

Best to use Associations for this.

    - Go to the motion sensor

    - Go to advanced tab

    - Scroll down to Associations

    - Click Setting Associations

    - Click Group 1 (on the left)

    - Select the light on the right

    - Click save below

    - Wake up motion sensor

herman007, you need to change your condition to 'Carport motion' == Armed and breached.

Or  breached only if you want.

  • Boerremk and wpeeters, both thanks for the quick response!

First I did follow boerremk's tip. Had to wait for light to go low. The scene did not work.

Than I added wpeeters tip. This also didn't start the action for light at the frontdoor.

Any setting somewhere else is playing crazy?

Sorry, I didn't notice the action. You configured the lights to be 'armed'. You should set lights to 'On'.

See below. The reason why you have the 'arm' for lights is unclear to me.

In my method, you don't need a scene anymore.

  • @wpeeters:

Why I do arm the lights: I use a switch = FGP111 Plug. So I only can arm or breach, or a.s.o.

I do not have any other options.

    @boerremk:

I removed the scene. I followed your tips .... and still nothing is happening.

Thanks for your replies. Are there any other options?

Can you make a copy of the configuration of the sensor and of the associations of the sensor and paste it here.

@herman007. I don't own a FGP111 plug but I can't imagine that 'arm' or 'disarm' are the only options.

Those options only allow the device to report his state to the alarm panel and activate the alarm when 'armed' or disable the state when switched to 'disarmed'.
It seems your device is configured as a sensor and not as a switch. I guess you can have more help from someone owning such a  plug.

Also, referring to boerremk his feedback. This should work as well. I checked the steps and you can't make a mistake following those.

I that is not working neither, again another possible reason why the device is configured incorrectly.

Your sensor must be sensor == Breached,

and your FGP111 must be = Turn On.

Check if your FGP111 plug has been recognized as a ON/OFF Switch under Device kind general tap, if not exclude and include it again.
